Gold will reach 1180 next week. The question is whether there'll be a breakout above that level.
So much for a drop to 1000. Not that it can't happen, but I doubt that it will any time soon.

hi guys, i need your help to come out of this situation. I short gold at 1137 100 contracts and its now 1173. should i close the position or hold? should i long at this point with the hope it heads up? i am a newbie and any help or guidance from the forum is appreciated

Whole numbers are never good targets. Sometimes they get reached and sometimes ........ they don't. Just because so many place their stops there.

Gold is now gunning for 1184/1206 level and for it to turn bullish it has to breach 1250 and 1206 to hold which is not likely on this drive.
I will make a definitive intraday calls come Monday and for those in the dump can confidently use it to manage their exposures after. Doubters are welcome to snide and snigger at their own risks....

Just a suggestion - you might want to refrain from using words like definitive.

Markets are always definitive. Individual traders in varying degrees some of the time. Naturally some more of the time than others but never ever always.
