Can't we say the yellow metal is heading towards $1278 and then would confirm the southwards run testing $1255?

Hello everyone,

It seems to me that there occured another stophunt action, but this time on the silver pair. The action took place between 21:00 and 22:00 GMT. I expect a moment of bullish to ~ 19.3. What are your findings on this?

The sudden spike at 8:00pm GMT+3 that occurred in the gold-dollar market (26/5/14) was really disconcerting. It was made worse by the fact that some brokers showed it, some didn't. The old saying always expect the unexpected comes to mind. No one has come out with a definitive explanation of what happened and I am trading with trepidation from now on. I certainly am not as confident as I used to be. Does anyone have an explanation for the spike? Was it just a system error?

My two renowned brokers Dukascopy and Pepperstone didn't have this spike. Keep away from small scam brokers. That't it.

with not so much certain,i would see 1264 as the periodic low.
betting on a retracement to 1280, the probability for up might take over presently.

Having traded in a small range of near $44 since the start of the month, gold prices witnessed heavy selling pressure on Tuesday. The yellow metal shed more than 2% on the very same day, the most since December 2013. Post-mortem analysis suggests various fundamental and technical causes which fueled this bout of technical selling.

The current decline in yellow metal prices can be a trigger by improving US Dollar strength and the rallying equity markets. Moreover, easing geo-political tensions in Ukraine and weaker demand from China and ETPs could also be considered as reasons for the recent plunge in gold prices.

Gold prices fell below 61.8% Fibonacci Retracement level of its December-March up move (placed at $1266). Hope to see the yellow metal near $1248 during the day.

It seems that Gold could not break $1260 by falling back to near $1250 zone. This time, the fall is likely to be more fierce with the yellow metal being expected to test $1240-35 horizontal zone and then towards testing another strong horizontal support near $1220-10 area.

Gold had a rough week, closing lower at 1246 after breaking support at 1301 (50% retracement of the long-term uptrend from 2008 to 2011.)
This level should now become resistance.
The bearish move opens up a retracement to the 2014 low of 1182.
The MACD on the weekly chart has just made a bearish cross,
and at a current level of 40.15, RSI has further to fall before it reaches oversold support levels in the 21 area.

On the Monthly chart, gold is trading in a sideways consolidation within a larger bear trend that began after the September 2011 high.
The close lower on the month opens up a retracement to the double-bottom in the 1180-1182 area, and
then heading towards LT (61.8%) 1155. Stochastic is also suportive.

IMO, current price 1245 USD is 200% of my following range, below price is my buy zone. What about you?

I'm bearish on Gold until it breaks $1280 again. On the downside i wish $1230 and $1210 - 1200 could restrict the yellow metal from witnessing fierce plunge.
