i think we (gold) should go to 131x minimum
because
crossing and back SMA128(!) on Daily timeframe
crossing SMA2048 on M5 timeframe
crossing SMA1024 on M90 timeframe

The general situation as I see it is this.

We have a range layer from 1275-1310 or thereabouts.

Price will chop about those two levels I expect for a couples of days, and plenty of stops will be hit in the process no doubt.

But buy and sell signals will present themselves nonetheless to exploit that range.

I cannot see 1270 being breached personally, and continue to think that any buy signals at the lower end of that suggested range, can be capitalised on to take advantage of the support layer I'v mentioned and the underlying main uptrend that has actually been in place since beginning of january!

All my existing orders revolve around that basic plan, and expect price to reach 1360-1375 at least in the coming days.

As with any plan....patience is the key though!

the sma 300 is 1311
the sma 200 is 1328
the sma 64 is 1301
the sam 32 is 1288

had silver longs from 19.650, was a long term trade to 21 but look like we re gonna hit much lower next week so it had not point to leave open that trade,
was betting like most people in this forum on the rise of gold but this week data is the most bearish for metals in some time,

Thanks for the analysis Landline...are you using fib retracements as your target for 1360-1375? Do you take the fundamentals perspective too or are you strictly technical?

The NFP data is bad for USD, but watching other USD pairs, I notice the weakness of USD doesn't make significant impact. IMO, USD is actually stronger than people think, I would still look for shorting gold, but I'll be very careful with it. Congrats for all bulls, for bears, don't worry, there's another day
