With today's analysis I am wondering if gold is not set to drop to 800's? I am looking to short anywhere between 1280 to 1270. This is a worrying thought for many people that they can't go long.

guys can we calm down with the crash talk please... we're $100 above the 2013 low, so that being taken out is only a matter of time, but there is nothing in the indicators or wavecount that warrants a move lower today - in fact we need to correct the A wave down with a B-wave which usually retraces 50-100% of the preciding move...

PA is breaking out above the A-wave channel as I write, thereby confirming the move up.

Downside thereafter: wave C of wave 3 down then wave 5 down, so yes, 1100 or even 800 could be seen but 800 on a SL trigger-spike - it's difficult to warrant Gold below 1000 for more than a few seconds as bargain hunters seize the opportunity - Peoples' Bank of China with a one-time 2 ton transaction being an example.

I closed that first sell for ~ $1 after the high volumed 1m doji low.

Now short at 1276.40 after the spike up to the S&R ~the MR 1 level....a classic WRB in a marubozo with high volume and no follow through...also 61.8% retrace of yesterday's range....

My bias is short. I think gold wants to test 1200 level.

You dont have to show me but we see your posts very often without any chart,this isn t in spirit of this forum....we can only read short,short,long,long from you,many members just read and trade from posts and you are write without any proof of short or long!

what convinces me that the current wave up has strong momentum is that it is (count-wise) a C wave which is impulsive and therefore swift with little retracement. Secondly, that notion is confirmed by RSI and MACD which have been topped out since 1270 and despite reverse divergence, PA just continues higher. At it's conclusion near 1290/12310 the reversal should be meaningful to the downside targets being sited today.

I guess to some it is just a CCI indicator, but when you study it as I have you get much more than a standard CCI. I have eliminated the turbo lines by making them the same colour as my charts.
