I short Gold at 1337 and close.
Now i will tray take one more short at 1336 if it comes there.

what a substantially drop is this? when big boy in New York City comes m15 timeframe is suck and useless but h4 timeframe becomes PA

Gold is now caught in a tight triangle on the Daily chart. If it continues South I will be targeting 1265. This will complete the "Setup" for the inverted H n S if it wants to go back & target 1515 to 1575. Below 1250 & it's Southward ho.....http://www.dailyfx.com/forex_forum/i...ilies/cool.png

Currently, I'm hedging a position. I think it couldn't go lower much unless Mr.Ben Bernanke open his mouth and say "taper QE3" then gold fall dramatically on it.

For a chart, just look at the week leading up to last FOMC, when gold was trending down.
Too close for pips, switching to points.

H4 + H1 + 15M charts + usd/jpy PA suggesting a buy .. waiting for a breakout though

Hi traders

Slope A, B, C, D, and E all gave some decent scalping opportunities on H1 trameframe. Expecting one final test of slope C then moving over to H4 Scalping opportunities. If slope C on H1 fails, I will check out slope E for a buying opportunity again.

Dude, I blew up a couple of live accounts by not using a stoploss (it stops the loss). I do trade a separate small account with no stoploss but then you need to make a 200 - 300 % return a month. Withdraw your initial investment everytime it doubles then when the acount blows up and it always does, statistically speaking you will make your returns, given that you are confident enough in your strategy.

THINK the price will hold above 1323, so think your account will survive. Been there before, feel your pain, hope it works out for you.

Seems like break out the upper channel. Why?

  1. Higher highs, lower lows.
  2. Upper channel line is younger than the bottom channel.
  3. If so, maybe prices can face up 1.338 area resistance.
  4. If R works, i will watch 1.328 area support.


And last today 01.10 will be the decisior of the prices. Both for north and south.

You - In correct money management and trading, are only supposed to HEDGE especially using the same pair, WINNING trades.

I can't read your chart or maybe it didn't blow up properly, but I would bet 10:1 you are hedging a loser.

Hedging a WINNER works like this. Long at 1300 Hit 1900 TP 3/4 position- then we enter range and break support, so to "HEDGE your GAINS"
you open up a short @ 1550 - with 1/4 long all profit still on- close the short at 1180 double up longs at same price. now your appx net ave. long is 1220.

ODDD - Price action this week. Perhaps the slide back again to 1325 was needed to move forward, yet I just don't see how a BOOM in price to 1352 has lost all momentum at current... It will likely take till wednesday to make a more decisive break. Either way.

If the US gov does have a partial shutdown, GOLD "SHOULD" SOAR. but stranger things have happened.
