i close my short, it moves very slow down... i dont want any pips from this trend, which is boring...

Hi folks, I don't normally post here but I check in and read from time to time. My buddy XTrade got me interested in gold and silver a while back so I started a 50k demo account back at the end of August.

I have discovered I'm really enjoying trading these instruments and although I can't really focus on it as much as I'd like, I'm not doing too bad with them. Actually wish I were doing as well in the currencies with my live account...LOL

Anyway, I'm short gold from 1645.55 right now and looking for the next stop at 1616.44 (23.6). Would enjoy your thoughts on this and thanks in advance.

Not a horrible risk to take IMHO. Pretty tight, so might lose on the stop with price still recovering northward.

I am very curious whether we have a massive inverse head and shoulders formation on the monthly chart.

Very possible that dire news from Europe (haha - the never-ending crisis) would send us down further.

Fundies remain strong, but bank traders remain in control. How low will they risk going? I maintain, although speculative, lots of money is ready to jump on board once price heads low enough.

trend is not changed yet... but this trend has much time... so it makes shorter boring ... trade is good idea, but hard and can be dangerus without stoplost...

tp 1648 is for a short time, if price moves quickly... later i can change it...

If gold doesnt touch the S1 support and the 23.6 level, then it may fall , but if it hits the levels , then its the other way round for some time...

Im in agreement with those keeping there eyes open to the 1616-27 area as from my angle looking at the last single monthly timeframe 1627 area is the projected lows for feb.
Looking at 2012 4th quarter or last single quarter 1621 is the projected low.
Looking at the last 3 months 1616 is the projected low.
eyes open to PA and candle formations 1616-1627 area as normal pattern is to extend out from monthly pivot (feb. pivot 1680-84 area) and rotate back.
One thing is certain we will first have to get on the otherside of 1665 area as it is the the single year pivot(primary trend) if were going to run north.
However, first things first whats the weekly and daily trends have to say?
Eyes on 1627 as we watch the candle formations and PA on the 5,15 1hr,4hr .

Looking at fri area of extra interest are 1627 response.
A rotation back and eyes are on 1645-50 area as thurs retest of the weekly lows breakout of 1649 was confirmed.
Bias is down from 1645-50 area.

Silvers moved through quarterly pivot 30.60 area noted.
Weekly lows breakout at 30.67 area noted.
Thur daily lows breakout @ 30.47 noted.
Fri. eyes on retest of breakout area and response.
Bias is down from 30.60-67 area.

According to me , trading gold and silver is very simple , the method is not to be greedy ..just book if u r in profits , thats my strategy , no target...

Here the EURUSD pair , just reached the Pivot point and sustained a little time , till then gold came down , as soon as it started coming down , gold shoot up....

And also in the Silver , it touched the S2 level , so u can choose to close the positions...this is for intraday .. guys who prefer positionals have to have different strategies...
