Close - Daily on a bit stiffer resistance, once she is popped not much in the way topside.

I would say the bottom is in.

Simple Support / Resistance.

easiest way to trade GOLD.

Concerning copper, this is what I am looking at. A weekly chart of the XME vs Copper shows that copper is holding up much better than the XME which is a blend of different types of metals ETF. Since 2010, the XME has always held better than copper except for the move that started in September 2010 and the current environment.

The second chart is another weekly chart in copper which demonstrates the contraction in volatility which should result in an explosive long lasting move soon. As for the fundies, copper isn't in a very good position given the economical contraction in China. I will let price prove its intentions on this one before I pass my judgement, as things aren't too clear.

I think, technically speaking, solely, I see a potential double bottom in the copper chart.

Spot is way down, Yet, down = potential long for me.

China talks a lot of bs. one minute they are slowing down, then they are speeding up.

I would keep an eye on the surplus if any copper production out of Australia,

I can see potential large cap specs getting in this market at a bargain before she rockets to 4.00

Just my two gold cents....
IMO. trade at own risk.

Your welcome man, yeah I agree things could change really quick. Trade at your own risk. George Sorros once said:

"“Once a trend is established it tends to persist and to run it’s full course.”

Sentiment changes slowly in trending markets (up or down) and extremely fast in choppy, range-bound markets like the ones we currently have.
Awesome chart I have screen shotted below, If the mine wars keep up in South Africa, regardless of what new technology they may or may not have for catalytic converters, this will put a HUGE strain on SUPPLY, and PT could rocket past 2k again.

Bullish until proven otherwise. Economies aren't too good which should prompt printing which should send gold flying. That's my viewpoint and until that picture changes gold should continue to rip. I recently read somewhere that Paulson had 44% of his portfolio in gold, this was before the rally. That guy lost over 50% last year, and should pawn this year if gold continues to rally.
Great chartist and trader. EDIT: If I find these on dimwi-ttwitter without the proper name and analysis attached I am going to be PISSED THE #*&%*#^ off!.. So all you linkers. LEAVE THE DAMN CHARTS AS THEY ARE> There is a NAME ON THEM FOR A REASON.

I go with the major trend (bullish) until I see a trigger to be otherwise. I think there's a good chance of a pullback this week, but probably not large enough to warrant shorting (depending on your trading strategy) until Bernanke speaks on Friday.

If Bernanke doesn't confirm a serious easing package is coming in September, as so many people believe this week's FOMC minutes implied will -absolutely- happen, the gains from last week will disappear in a minutes. However, the first significant bullish trigger after it stops falling, particularly if if falls enough to get all the TV pundits to start making ridiculous $1400 or lower "the sky is falling" claims, will be my "all-in" buy signal as every major drop has consistently gone all the way to the bottom and becomes the new "last chance" entry point.

When market sentiment swings to overweight bearish or bullish, that's usually when the real reversal happens.
You can always make money tomorrow provided you don't lose it today.

I'm bullish but short into the weekend (looking at first chart, short 1671, then 1674, as PA hit the two sloping downtrend lines).

I am looking for only 1665 (half distance to a retest of the downward sloping trend line at about 1659) after which i will scale into longs looking for a run to 50%fib at 1720.9.

So although I am currently short, i am bullish.

I plan to be positionless over the next weekend - who knows what words will come forth during Jackson Hole.
