It amazes me that this is Gartman's explanation why gold is in a bear market. To me, this is just another piece of evidence indicating there may be truth to the alleged crooked schemes manipulating the price of precious metals.

At no point should a major buying spree, demand of a physical commodity, send the price shooting downward....

It is very real. PPT is just a colloquial expression to describe a recognized working group.

It would stand to reason that major bank traders are being given a free pass on reporting swaps because some body, like the President's Working Group (or PPT), is trying to prevent carnage.

The problem is that it is becoming increasingly difficult for them to keep the truth from seeping into the mainstream media. MF Global's lost billion may be a part of the downfall for the free reign of crooks in the derivatives business.

The market is a mix of both bull and bear.

If ask me, i'll say it may go further down before it rises again, because the bull run is not over yet.

I have no charts, i have no news, price is the only indicator to me.

Where would the major players go if they leave gold ? Platinum, Palladium and other metals are not the mainstream metals, they maybe their last resort.

I started watching prices of metals when Gold was trading at $300 - 400

At that time Silver was around $5 - 6

If Silver saw $50 there is no reason gold don't see $2000.

A very good place to start is $1400 - 1450.

Others here are many fold experienced than i can ever be and some of them have indicated $1300 and even $1080, now if that happens than it would be an eye-opener for me

Hh,i think many and many margin calls was hitted and maybe will.thx god for my sell stops.i almost lost all free margin too.now i am short 1562 and waiting.i have not a lot free margin to close my sell in bad time.

I have been analyzing a lot about this subject: Goldand I think that the only reason gold is real money isn't actually that it is "safe-haven" but is because it's against the USD. Even though it's hard to explain, so looking at it the easy way... Gold -Opposite- USD, that's what I always heard, but never understood until today.

The only reason gold has been in such an uptrend for around 11 years is that the US has been basing their monetary policy on fake results, that were shown on USD printing... that made prices go higher, and companies earn more when the VALUE of those things remained the same... that's why in the last 11 years the US had an increase of 10% while the indexes have dozens of times that increase in %.. fake money - real money

And therefore, the USD has been losing value.. and the real money = Gold gaining it.

Now, I know many of you look at Gold as safe-haven, but according to my explanation, if gold is real money, and if we are in real problems, then it's normal that it loses real value after all.

3.- Depending on the time, the fact that the FOMC did absolutely nothing was really bearish and caught the stops below 1650.00
