Looking strong. Close above 1840 semi pivot would indicate further movement up. We had a nice corrective run down for the bears to get some, met by a slew of buyers or demand.

Only reason being the pegging of the Euro to the Swissy.

2000 seems ever present and faster coming before years end than ever.

As far as the gap goes - just IMO it will be small if any. It depends on what kind of news drops over the weekend of course.

Silver hitting some resistance at 43.75. Yet not falling too far below after the session high.

i do consider the advice given by peeps but also take full responsibility for acting on them it's weird that i see some blame others for losing $$ claiming that they were given faulty analysis. imo if you blame others for losing $$ in trades then you should quit trading and go live off your mommy.

anyways my dilemma right now is that i have this client who is very demanding and wants to trade every rise and fall of the market. he hates it when he gets left out. what does this do to me? i sleep when the market closes and wake up two hours after when the market opens. hopefully i get to sneak 2 hours more of uninterrupted sleep (which is a longshot because he calls every hour) during the asian market. it's nerve racking, and stressful that it clouds my judgement. anyone know where i can buy cyanide? tons of valluums would do too. hopefully that calms him down if not permanently

my fibo fan from days back. 38.2% seems to be holding quite well with a lot of attempts of conquering it. it also serves as the lower part of the gigantic bullish triangle forming. blue lines are drawn to show the triangle.

Well yeah, you seem very confident gold has reached it's prime, as you think that, i also think that gold in this years, we have to recovery, has the potential of going, a damn lot more ,upwards. Future will tell, but i also know that you beeing an experienced trader already know that and i'm sure you don't think @2000 gold will only climb 100$/year or fall to 1000$/ounce, the problem - the big problems will still be here and that is going to steam the gold to go higher and faster before proven wrong by a viable economy.

Greek default is imminent. After that, we will see the real problems. Gold will keep going up (up until these problems are solved!)

As the CME is rising Gold margin requirement, bulls are finding it hard to maintain their position and have to readjust their position to avoid being margin called.

It seems Gold was not to be viewed as a safe haven during a renewed sovereign default concerns. Without interventions I suspect the XAU would have broken out to new highs. "The source of this flow seems hard to pin down with some speculating over whether "authorities" were concerned about the signals of an accelerating gold price and its impact on other fragile markets." GS

It might be more margin costly for bulls to buy more gold, but latest development in the debt crisis will give a fresh boost to gold next week.

Does anyone have any thoughts on silver for Next week? It closed a lot lower compared to gold..

Exactly.

I can understand that some BEARS and people who have SELL positions still open want and HOPE for gold to go down, BUT they should be realistic and have their feet on the ground, open their eyes and understand that GOLD is BULLISH and will keep that way for a very very long time...

I am not confident of anything except: when too many people think all the same a market does the opposite.

But that is why I use the words might and probabilities and not will. And yes even then I might be wrong.

Do I think we have reached a top or am I even trying to call a top. No.
The socio/economic and political forces moving gold will probably be with us a year from now and maybe much longer.

But keep in mind the higher gold goes the less it becomes: a run away from risk and instead a run to risk.

Well, sure, IF we were in a stable social and economical environment i couldn't agree more with you, i could also bet my money on the bubble theory, BUT we are not in a healthy economical environment, in fact we're just trying to slow down the disastrous economical "runaway train" we're in.
No one can say anything with certitude in this "game" we're playing, we can only make prediction's that probably will happen or probably not, but analysing the "data" that we have i would probaly bet my money on the safe haven called gold, at least for the time beeing.

One last point before I go back to enjoying my weekend and that is you and many others point to the fact that everyone they know don't talk of Gold, let alone own it.

It is at $1850 freakin' dollars an once. 3/4 of the worlds population doesn't even have $1850 in their pocket to feed themselves. Of the rest (besides the weathy and super-weathy) most are living paycheck to paycheck and might have a mutual fund or two and some Gold - especially in China and most especially in India.

So Gold has a very limited buying pool to pick from. That probably won't stop it from hitting its inflation adjusted alltime high of approx. $2300

But many will be burned in the process. Some of which are the "gold is only going higher" types.

Read this article today wanting to learn more about the fundamentals of silver - could it really go up to $130 like it already has decades ago?

Everyone's running round like headless chickens trying to figure out what's going on with gold but this looks like a better bet to me...:
