BTW before ya dip heres hw not slacking today. above days open, above weekly pivot and daily pivot, just hit YH im seein a bit of a flag projection on m30 and m45 was drawn. i also saw that flag you put on daily that i missed so i included it in their, indi still may be heading up. Above we have WR1 DR1 also LW High area. below we got DP days open Weekly pivot and all the avgs around there. if we can get a nice hold on that rough monthly may be going up for the run lol. maybe see Qtr Main pivot before ya know it. Also right below aat 1856 got your QL1

OMG! For F$@% Sake!

The psychological barriers and old habits die f'n hard.

 

  1. I see price at a level where I want to take a swing from...All good at this point and happy with my entry
  2. 15min later I see unfavourable price action that I know has a high probability of going the other way against me...(after becoming more familiar with Gold charts, I would have taken this trade entry on what I saw if not already in a current position the other way).
  3. Instead of closing my current position at a very small insignificant loss and enter in the other direction, what do I do...
  5. Pray the mfer won't do what it does the majority of the time, and maybe...just maybe....
  6. Maybe this time it will be different and go in my favour...

Lesson learnt here...

  1. Don't pray that the market will do something other than what it usually does! Be prepared to cut a trade and keep losses small!
  2. I should have cut a very small loss and entered in the other direction (which would have hit target soon after) and kept the account ticking upwards
  3. Now I was left with a loss on the account that i'll have to earn back later

Not just you shane I fell onto that and had to just stop and reanalyze. Always another chance to enter and join what you see. If its wrong cut it or as lem said at least edge it favored more toward the winning one. Win 2 lose 1. Your up 1.

last hw before bed im going to do my best to get up magiv time got 60 in live to see aht i can do lol. maybe use mostly demo and grab a buck or 5 on live. lol. price is above a lot of shit atm, WR1 was reached as well as DR1 took a crack there got my bangers done and gone. seeing some very lucrative tgts up above, obviousy below we know what we have, but also see a larger hns forming on the 1hr anticapting the right side to look like the left. night/ morn veryone. havea good session

1 hr zoomed in abit to show that 2400ema being held so far. if below days open we have YH, if below then we got QL1 and DP below that is WP and avgs. Above as said DR2 WR2, LW High all those goodies. will be on later night all.

Hanging my balls out in the open here and posting my lessons learnt today for everyone to see and cast judgement
There were a few other factors at play, but this was the major mistake.

Those fucking lines drill em in brother its taking me a while but it has results lol even if im not getting em yet. I still don't get them so by any means dont think im lecturing just learning with you why some things that seems like they should shouldn't and its because a simpler reason is ther

I was aware that the momentum was bullish, but with a 30min close back into the range, I thought there may have been an opportunity to close a banger or two back down to the initial "pop" first.
I was watching those factors develop/play out.
So I came down to the 15min to see what was happening and quickly believed I was wrong after that candle closed as mentioned in the images above.

Arghhhh.
Still couldn't let it go....

Mate I here you there I am the same , we need to react quicker to price going against us and take the loss .Its a physiological thing in the mind we don't want to lose .I am going to try stand up before you enter or exit a trade for example your sitting down in front of your screen you see entry level you tense up heart rate goes faster ....take a step back stand back from the screen and look at it I don't know worth a shit
