Here's my take on the XAUUSD, from the technical perspective of a swing trader. The XAUUSD market is still disposed positively even though it has continued to offer some bearish discount. Price action on the daily time frame is consolidating. The 1700.46/1684.01 zone (blue), seems to be the short-term operating range. How the market handles the area in the early part of this week should be watched.

Both gold and silver selling off today since the European markets opened. 
Gold is at some strong recent support levels. It'll be interesting to see if it holds here. Fundamentals still strongly support holding gold, especially longer term.

The next domino to fall in this Covid-crisis is the escalation of China tensions which would strongly support gold prices, if or when it escalates. Longer term however, I think there's been and will continue to be a shift in risk-adversity and gold should continue higher for some time to come.
Gold and Silver prices are still running together which is a good indication of the obvious, that we are in a risk trading environment.
