Just to confirm what I've been harping on all week. There is absolutely no volume in gold (relative to avg trade volume).

Technically you can get it directly from the CME, but their charting needs improvement.
What contract is that? I saw February has all the volume now, although it still isn't much.

I don't trade futures, but anyone who want to see how the futures traders are positioned on Gold can see the current contract from vol2vol expected range tool, it is always refreshed with the most traded volume.

After a flat open in the yen pairs, I'm not expecting much of a gap in gold. Last week there was very little volume and barely any price volatility. This week should be similar.

As things stand, Price finally broke out higher on the falling wedge pattern we mentioned and has remained above the handle on an hourly closing basis while we also had a daily closing above the wedge resistance, this sentiment means that we can look forward to buying any dip that comes near the former wedge resistance handle, and where does it sit? around the 85 handle, a handle that we have used as a key point over the last couple of months following the breakout rally on the handle.
To further support this bullish intent, the H1 Buy zone now also currently sits near the handle...As Digs mentioned, we are backl above some stuff, ie weekly open some pivot lines, some key moving averages therefore the scales are tipped for further bullish continuation...Interesting to note that we still have to upside numbers to tag on the weekly upside levels.
While we favor bullish sentiment and look to move in tandem with the market, we dont expect it to be smooth/easy sailing for the bulls...we will look to follow PA...and Hourly close followed by a daily close back below the break out level will put bears back into the game
So far the H1 Buy Zone has offered one buy dip shortly after the open and prices have rallied from it.....
H1: Bullish and Buy Zone: 1485.96 - 1484.12
H4: Bullish and Buy Zone: 1479.86 - 148282
D1: Bullish and Buy Zone: 1476.19 - 1474.51
