This is what was wrote yesterday i have taken out the name who the trader was asking

Good day #### & all fellow traders..
Hope you are doing well... may I have your advice ####, I'm so stressful, had wrong open positions based on emotions , I had 2 position that're floating minus for $1,145.70 in total and I have not closed it yet, I hope to minimum the loss, if you could help me for sharing some advice please..
I buy gold quickly at 1516 yesterday morning, but it went down all day, now -$983
I sell gold this morning too when read the news at FF, at 1494 but it going up, now -$165
It seems I'm stuck, what should I do ?

now where do i start

1, new trader small account
2, joined 6mths ago
3, did not know where support and resistance was
4, just did a trade no knowledge (admits he bought to quickly)buys with full lots
5, listened to news
6, compounded his situation by getting a sell at support
9, no stoploss on small account

trapped was right now he asked for help how to get out of trouble because margin call is on its way

MY QUESTION IS TO YOU ALL , WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE DIFFERENTLY OR HOW WOULD HAVE YOU RESPONDED TO HIS HELP CALL

he needs to first figure out what kind of trader he is.

  1. he follows news, so does that mean he trades macro/fundamentals?
  2. based on the positions he opened, he could also trade momentum.

each of the two types of traders above does different things in terms of how to get out of the current mess.

I’m not an expert, but for the person that traded in the negative, suggest to close the bigger loss, keep the sell trade as there is a good probability the ‘support becomes resistance’ and shoot for BE, if it still goes against close it.. then back to drawing board demos to build edges and working on thine own psychology to minimize emotional trades. I would also suggest, if you don’t use SL, maybe experiment with hedges or have an absolute black swan stop.... Last, if the the drawdown is making you sweat, lower trade size, you don’t have make a million today.... I’ve been hopping systems for almost 2 years and recently accepted that it can take 5+ years to have an understanding of market behaviour, that system hopping is not the answer, must create own edge, there’s lots of good trading tips but one must do the homework, be patient for trades, actively recognize your emotions while trading, and above all have a plan.... Now off to take my own advice . Cheers.

This person may have joined 6 months ago but may only have 10 minutes knowledge/screen time, suggestion would be go to BabyPips or similar and learn the basics then either find a mentor with a proven track record that is prepared to pass on knowledge or focus on just one thing to trade and trade it until understanding is achieved (define understanding - regular profits).
Do not waste time with the hundreds or EA's or indicators until full understanding of how they work.
Set out a business plan - SWOT and stick to it.
This is just like any other business, it is a gamble, no guarantees and if you are not prepared to know your market and minimise as much "risk" as possible with knowledge and planning then don't start because IMO you will waste your time and definitely lose your money.

Quiet in here. No one taking advantage of this week’s right action? ... I’ve been been reading this thread and re-read it and I’ve found it incredibly interesting.

At first, my knee jerk reaction was to think this is absolutely ludicrous, it didn’t make sense, nor was I convinced it wasn’t a demo account. However, on reflection, and looking at the simplicity and knowledge that goes in to trades it made complete sense that it is indeed possible. I understand why people have trouble digesting what I have come to the conclusion of, but I assume it’s down to a sheer disbelief you can make over $1m in 1cm with no recourse from a broker (I am interested though Aussi, does ICM not have any issue at all with the profits you’re making/no contact with them?). Also, I figure that people don’t believe it could be so simple, however where they fall foul is in essence it’s extremely simple but in practice without intimate knowledge and chart time, the simple could lead you down multiple fools errand garden paths. I know it doesn’t mean much to you, Aussi as you’re not looking for validation, but it’s extremely useful, and indeed important to know from a psychological point of few why people believe if it’s not over complicated it’s not viable. It’s helped me no end in all honesty because I don’t think you really realise the depth of mental barriers you can build which MM’s adore.

been unwell again mate so i have not posted

Thank you for your post with some very good valid points , i am having issues with my other broker , one Australian broker as stopped my account awhile ago they did pay all the money , years and years ago and american broker closed my account , so over the years i have had a few do it to me , no one asked what does a good broker do when they find a trader with a very high win rate , there are a few possibility's mate ,

I go and look around the threads some talk talk talk and convince themselves next week a trade might happen so i will wait until then to trade the difference is i trade when the action is happening at the moment some people convince themselves there is no trade while i do 5 trades in 5 mins price action is what it says , looking forward to your posts kindest regards from dave
