Looks like SHFE open brought some buying into gold. USDJPY is dropping at the same time. Correlation is tight. Makes sense.

I was a little early in some gold long positions about a week ago. I didn't think we'd see that much downside. There could be more I'm not sure. But I fully expect gold to rebound and test recent highs and probably break those levels in the process. There's way too much economic uncertainty, political disputes in Italy, UK, etc, trade tensions between the US and quite a few countries, and finally the one that's flying under the radar... Brexit. If there's a hard Brexit the pound is expected to drop to around 1.11 per USD. I'm not sure how accurate that is, but I can tell you without a doubt that the wealth in the UK will rotate into gold and other safe haven assets way before then.
It's good to see familiar faces and to be back after being out of commission for a week. I'm back.
Unfortunately there's not much on the calendar this week. I'll be looking into maybe the FOMC minutes to see if there's some potential for big moves. Other than that I think there's some inflation data out of the US but that's about it. This week might be about news headlines or lack thereof. We'll see! Good luck comrades!

08/10/19 Morning Traders, Recap on the day that was, so the bears continue their bearish momentum following Lndon opens bearish bias, price did try and rally from the H4 buy setups and pushed towards that immediate target at 1503 we mentioned but failed to overcome it. First bearish day following a series of bullish daily closes,and although prices managed to close above the 1485 handle on a daily closing basis we will look for more clarity following the first hour of trading during the London session. The indecision regarding sentiment for today...
1486 is fib50 level of last h4 rally and fib61.8 is at 1482.
We already have hammer in last week close. 1482-86 is good level to buy and worth taking risk for aggressive traders. Furthermore close above current h1 resistance will be the confirmation.
P.S. Trade with the discipline of Money Management and Risk Management.
