Same here, i've cought the bull though, managed to buy 2 minutes after the release, i was browsing ff and saw it accidentaly on news...

I've closed that trade and have opened a new one at 15:00, i've placed a stop loss at 1405, and i'll tp around 1415 or so. It is a risky trade, but i believe we'll be able to profit of it.

While i would agree with you that gold is currently way too overbought, i'm of the opinion that the pair should finish the year in it's current range (1400-1450), a bearish outcome might come, but i don't believe it will be long lived and i'd expect a bounce back to the current prices.

Another factor that i consider is the fact that many governments are replacing USD with gold thus devaluing USD and giving more value to gold, i believe this is,together with the slowing economies of many countries, the main driver for the sudden sharp jump in gold prices.

Sho bafo, I'm not against news trading, by all means no.
I prefer to look at the market reaction and price levels after the news. Because trying to premept the result of a news move can prove to be somewhat guess work.....so I'll let the news play out and assess levels

Your second part regarding governments buying golf in exchange for dollars is well versed for Mmase12, this is a typical approach of using fundamentals in conjunction with technicals.

I hear what you're saying bro. I certainly won't buy at 1410 or any other level.
I highlighted he buy zone and have a hedge buy in place from the daily buy. Now the comfort in this is that it allows me to keep going for that bearish play I'm looking at from a purely technical pointof view.....so in essence it reduces my risk...,I been reading and hearing some guys calling for 1500 and while that may be the case, there are a couple of things from a technical perspective that suggest possible deeper correction before a rally....

Why should loss? You can stop it BE it will tick around 1408-1409 for now.
But by force power... Ive think after the Powell testifies, it still can go up.. maybe 1416 at least
