After my short lived long price has continued back down to pooling level between 1290.00 and 1280.00. Just a wait and see now as price is getting tighter and tighter.

I did say it was a counter trend and I wasn't expecting much. The Bias is Short and has been for 3 months.

We got shooting star on weekly timeframe but again meeting trendline at 1271.
We can have bounce from here before breaking trendline or may break it straight.

I am still biased towards downside.

Here's my take on the XAUUSD from a technical perspective. The bearish pinbar printed on the XAUUSD weekly time frame by price action last week can be exciting. On the daily time frame, price action is grinding southwards along a descending channel (blue) and the technicals still favour bears. Should bears continue to be influential, they may see the channel support trendline as a target. The area is in confluence with a significant moving average I use as a confluence factor and the 78.6 Fib retracement of the up leg from 1219.90.

I may be wrong. Trade safe and prosper.

Hi, strong agree with you as from my perspective price is heading southwards next target 1247,16 on higher timeframe..
