Just take a look the last four Januaries? They all did happen to be bull months? Now is the fifth one. Looks like a bull one, so far...

Short squeezes happen when shorts are caught unaware. (Edit: something happened to the poster who mentioned short squeeze scenario). Anyway think that really happened two days ago:

Same call, still short XAUUSD @ USD1,320; long USDJPY @ 112.50; short AUDUSD @ 0.7840 and finally short EURUSD @ 1.2065. My trade horizon is two weeks, my margin level is very high, my prescribed hedge points have not been triggered. If I turn out to be wrong, I will simply hedge and correct. No bias, just follow the market.

There might be two good entry opportunities around 1316-17 and 1328-29. The price is likely to go there (visit one of those two points) before the nfp data release. If you have a nice exit plan, sniff around these levels. These will be good entry points.

The typical news trading for me is 80% hard and 20% easy. NFP today is almost certain to be hard to trade it, but let hope I am all wrong. Good data will excite us and as noobs we will see ourselfs in profits already, waiting for the price to fall. But it won't probably go that way...

I am afraid we are in a small range. Again. Center is 1323. Kind of, we are at the far edge of it, around 1317. It gets broken around 1315. In 1 out of 10 times it will just brake it. In 9 out of 10 times it will bounce from it. Lets see which one it will be?

1316/17 looks like a scalp buy.

In the recent months there has been an inverse correlation between the peaks and troughs on XAUUSD and BTCUSD (probably because the same investors participate in both). BTCUSD just moved up USD1k in 3 hours, we might anticipate a decline in XAUUSD. Just a thought.

My midevil knocks do suggest the range will get broken on the upwards... Interesting.

This is a brand new thing for me and really not having much experience reading the midevil line messages... But it looks pretty confident at the moment. Lets see.

Hey guys what do you think about this idea ??

Usd news from thursday-friday didn't look like to be bad enough for GOLD to take off so in my opinion a retracement can be definitely possible and in this case Im thinking of the 23,60% Fibonacci level at 1251-1257 which was the most targeted since 2013 until now.
Plus there is a clear HANGING MAN CANDLE STICK on the D1 chart, I attached the file,
please let me know your opinion as I'm waiting for a RED BEARISH CANDLE as confirmation to enter short targeting that level
