Silver is also very bullish, it finally broke out above 17.00 and it will likely continue moving to the upside.

4 hour chart looking down already with previous resistance at 1305.

Daily looks like its done, expecting a retracement to about 1280+.
A 1 pip gain is better than a 1 pip loss.

In this situation I look out for an upside down V formation at the top of BB, 2 higher highs followed by 2 lower lows, which in my view is a strong sell if it quite off the 20MA. This is based on the hourly chart. I placed sell stop at 1302.30, SL 1304.14, first TP 1300.74.

don't lose your longs too easily, this is a megabull ... I see us going to 1394 USD at least. We had a daily key-reversal with stochastics oversold but more importantly it was weekly oversold too forming a hidden divergence ... so the bull is here to stay for a while ...

I hope you are right. Honestly. The more expensive the gold is, I suppose, the more volatile it will become?

However, it is hard to guess it right, if it is not going to retrace back some $15-25 bucks? From the last top? And then continue further up? Meanwhile, if it happens, Mr.Moshinali would kiss his account money for a good bye. Better play safe than sorry.

An interesting thing about XAUUSD is that technically it is consolidating; price action is operating in a triangle on the W1 tf. As current price action is very close to the tip of the triangle, even though northward, we may see a stalling of momentum.

hopefully in case of some shake till 1292-1280 band I closed 0.50 lot of last 1 lot. let the rest go 137X and over. 1300-1290 band I will buy back this 0.50 lot. İn case of 1280 will be achived I ll add 1 lot again.

Silver continues moving to the upside, it will likely reach 17.35 again, so I haven't closed my long position.

I closed my longs on Silver at 17.18$ will be on the sidelines. The price has being going up for some time now so a correction should not be far away, maybe... Also the charts look overbought on 1h, 4h and 1d

I agree with the technical analysis by Triggerha and atom3.

The strength in gold has been largely driven by USD weakness not geopolitical issues. A weaker USD was required to entice the major US corporates to repatriate trillions of USD to take advantage of the tax reform measures (https://www.nytimes.com/2017/11/29/b...atriation.html).

The strength of the CAD can be correlated with their tax reform measures, the USD will benefit in the same way.

I am now short XAU at USD1,320 and long USD on a number of pairs.

I haven't kept long on XAU once it touched 1300.
but all technical say, it will go further, I am watching and seeing at the moment.
