I've been wanting to take this next step of starting a journal to put trade ideas, thoughts, results, etc. I've been trading off and on since 2009 in both the forex and futures markets (multiple times in each one) inbetween blowing various accounts and taking breaks. Most recently was trading NQ futures, but I gave that money back to the market and came back to forex again to work out the kinks. My goal would be to go back into futures again, but not until I'm ready to go back in and do it right treating it like a business. For now, I'm trading EU some and sometimes NQ cfd's too.
I'll start posting to keep track and keep accountable... maybe not daily, but we'll see where I go with it. The style is scalping and grabbing pips to accumulate enough for each session. Not buy/hold or swinging or anything like that. Try to keep it 1:1 or more on the take, but will grab what I can get and wait for the next set-up.
In post #15, I have listed my trading desk rules to follow. Review and give feedback or let me know what rules you use that I am missing.
No need to post all kinds of details for my trading style. It's pretty simple. It's most similar to @Divergence style I guess, but he is very consistent and just a beast at this trading game. I rely more on levels and he will trade with or without levels and is profitable regardless.
In this order, these would be the largest influences from FF on my trading style. I make no claims to be successful over the long term, but I borrow different bits/pieces from these 3 traders and these threads. For the money management and psychology, I'm all on my own there. There is no strategy that I can copy from someone in that department. It's up to me to know me and do what I need to do to follow a path to success. No one can do it for me!
