no real reason to go long here, got out at 1727 yesterday for a $15 profit, but feel like dont want to miss out on the move so got back in. minor support @ 1729.

i'm in cash mkt so don't really have a stop. however a 'convincing' break below 1700 would have me sell futures to aim for 1665.
Sorry but buying on short term top is bullshit,look at the price now.its better to wacth and think .Not only open some shit and look at it.Pls think about it.It can go down to 1717 easily and you are buying on 1730 :-/
When you want make money why you dont open buy on 1700-1710?

In long distant trading I see gold price 1600.xx bears

x axis being time, y axis being price we get an crosshair, therefore price and time meet theoretically giving an inevitable swing.


judging the best scenario for me to long the price and time, i would like to see a sort of sloping downward motion making a v upwards.

the yellow crosshair is the possible best scenario to long for me.

gold is awfully close to a breakout of the triangle on the weekly/daily, only $25 either way. wonder if the ECB meeting tomorrow will cause it?

well, everyone his own method as long as it works.
Mine are partly based on fundie thinking, pivot levels (mostly weekly and monthly), relative performance against USD-Index and preferable horizontal levels as I see them in PA.
I've lost almost all my indicators during the years, they often add negative contribution in my results.
Has been few month ago since trading gold, so have to re-learn its character, so will peek here to learn from you guys

bot some more at 1733.4, aiming for 1747.

used the technique of buying on the 'hook' after the breakout above 1733, learned about it from this forum, forget the user who talked about it, he has a big thread going on
i just short at 1732 because i notice its not strong enough to break resistance and it has just created a new high... looking to close at 1723
