But new consumer-price data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) is likely to negate President Donald Trump’s ongoing assertion that there is “no inflation” in the U.S. economy. For the period covering the past 12 months, analysts forecast an increase of 2.3% — hardly evidence for the absence of inflation, though it would represent a slight decline from the 2.4% pace seen in March. While somewhat true, this is largely misleading. Inflation depends on the timeframe. Zero inflation or even negative inflation for the last couple of months. 2.3% inflation for a year. Further, through the optics of the economy, 2% is effectively 0%.

Anything below 2.0%, you would see the Fed try to increase inflation. Actual deflation is much scarier to the Fed than inflation or even stagflation.

im going long on gbp/usd, tariffs did affected the economy bad, so on smaller lot im buying with 15 pips sl. same goes for gold. i might open a long position in gold.
