I prefer day trading: it seems a bit easier, less risky, and a bit more predictable.

Forex is extremely fast-pacing market, if you buy the USD and its at weekly top, your chances of loosing are way bigger than winning. With a 1 second look at the chart you know exactly where you are located...

Let me add this as well: It's not the arbitrary timeframe that matters, it's all just computers moving the price on a screen. What matters is the time of day that the price action occurs. Each trading session has its own characteristics. The way the price moves during the Asian, London and NY sessions is all indicative of the actors and their motivations during that time.

For me, I find the best times to look for trades to be at the beginning of the London session or the beginning of the NY session. I personally look for S/R areas on the 1hr or the daily, and then see how price is moving around those areas at those times of day. Why the 1hr or daily for S/R? Because those a more significant areas, areas where orders are more likely to be placed.

That is incorrect .The market can do anything ... go higher or go lower at any level
BTW it's losing not loosing.

We are talking about statistical advantage. Do you believe the axiom "buy low sell high" is non-sense? Or maybe Warren Buffet is just a clown who says we should be in fear when the market is greedy?

Basically, if the price just made a big jump higher, its common sense that its a bit too late to go long heavily.

Well, I use H1-H4 for learning the whole technical pattern on a pair, to define trends, s&r levels.
After doing that I switch to smaller timeframes (M5-M15) to find the entry points into the market and confirmation signals

I use the M15, H4 and D1 time frames. The first two are for figuring out an entry, the last is to figure out the overall trend.

That’s really make sense about your trading skill! Yes I am also using the same strategy but for me the 2 time frames are D1 and H1.
