Dear Traders,
I have been corresponding with Spotwares' cTrader team and throwing up suggestions on how to improve this promising trading platform to see it evolve and become the complete one-stop platform for all traders.
During my conversation with Spotware my current suggestions (and concerns) were:
cTRADER for Windows
1. We need the ability to select and "favourite" the most frequent timeframes traded and have these timeframes displayed as buttons at the top of the toolbar (just like Metatrader 4). For example M1, M5, M15, M30, H1, H4, D1, W1, MN.
2. We need to have control over the "visualization" property for all objects on the chart so that we are able to select a preferred timeframe when an indicator (eg. Moving Average) is to be shown.
3. We need to have the option to edit the indicators on the chart and add additional properties to the indicators. For example, the ability to add a 50 level in the Stochastic Oscillator. Indicators need to have their own lines that are not dependant of the background GRID LINES.
cTRADER for Android
1. The Android application needs to be quicker and easier to load and access. Currently, ctrader for Android lags like hell. Whether it's swiping through the chart or starting up the application. Many times when starting the application it can take up to twenty seconds to load and connect. Metatrader 4 for Android only takes two to five seconds the most.
2. We need cTrader to be more user-friendly and have a "more simple" layout (just like Metatrader 4 for Android). The Android cTraders' layout issues are:
- Full screen viewing does not scale properly.
- You cannot "zoom" in to the charts by using a finger swipe motion.
- The scaling and chart is either squashed or extended outside the screen.
- Indicators will not appear on all currency pair's screens unless they are added to each and every pair manually.
3. The Application also needs to be less heavy on battery usage. Ctrader for Android uses massive amounts of battery life (10% every 10 minutes on Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge).
In regards to those issues and concerns the cTrader team responded:
"We do in fact have plans to introduce the features which you suggest. Point 3 [under cTrader Windows] is being tested and is already available in the cTrader Web. We have further plans to improve our mobile applications too.
It would be great to know more about your concern of over use of your system resources.
I will keep an eye out for your thread in Forex Factory."
I do know that Spotware has a dedicated section on their website where you can vote for new features and submit feedback. However, looking at the suggestions and the voting area it looks somewhat unattended and many suggestions are not addressed and updated. So let's use this thread to voice our needs and our questions to help other cTrader traders, discuss improvements and voice our suggestions and concerns to Spotware.
Dimi.
