Hi i wanted to ask a question to all traders, instead of making a new thread i wanted a quick response here. Do all of you who trade actually make money or are just loosing it and are just trading in hopes that someday you will make money from trading?

i started trading 16 months ago and have yet to see a profit, im just loosing money no mater what i do.

so i just wanted to know is this the same case for others or is this just a hopeless case for me?

when i started i was so optimistic and wanted to concur the world, now im hopeless with 3 accounts blown and 4th one at half of what i started with.

do people actually make a career from this? im talking about average people who trade from homes and not the big bankers and george soros type people.

look forward from hearing from you all.

Sure it's possible, you must be doing something wrong to have so many blown accounts it such a short time. Look for the problem by starting with the very first question - Do i like to trade or i do it for the money only, if it is the second, then you are loosing your potential here, you are lets say it - not born for trading and you better look for something that you like doing from your heart. But if you do like it then there must be another problem. Plus there are many cases of very successful people that had a very rough start, life sometimes likes to do such tests with us and maybe there is a good reason for it.

Bro statistics speak for itself.. 95% of the traders on Forex losing money and of course
Everyone of them thinking that must be other 95% dummies and they are in the top 5% lucky ones.
The truth is: FOREX is Random No indicators or Moving Averages nor Trendlines or
Anything else working consistently, otherwise we all be millionaires.

yea when i started, i had no idea what i was doing, no stop losses, no target price, i would just buy or sell. when i would make a trade and it would go against me, instead of cutting the loss i would hope and pray that the trade would come back my way and instead it would get even worse! and when i was in a winning trade i would get scared and take profit early. So i was basically doing it all wrong, instead of cutting my losses short and letting my winners run i was doing opposite.

Now i use stop losses and target price but still im having bad luck, so many of my trades get stopped by just 1 or 2 dollars and it goes back up, dont know why, maybe i have to use bigger stop loss, now my stop loss is at 5 dollars in any direction of trade i take, long or short.

i love trading but i want to earn from it aswell, my dream is to trade from home and make enough money to live a nice and quiet life, my plan is not to become a millionare or anything like that, just to make enough so i dont have to work. Till yet plan not working lol.

now i trade very little, i dont want to blow this account aswell, so my plan is for 2 years i'll trade very small and wait patiently like a sniper to execute trades and if im successful in the 2 years, ill trade properly so i can earn a living.

I don't know how low can gold fall but i've placed some orders to buy silver at 14.7-14.5$ which i think is a reasonable risk to take

YES, but first you need to practice discipline and patience in trading, then learn some basics from babypips.com then create a trading system which suits your lifestyle means your available time for trading 1 hour, 4 hour or daily. in previous post I mentioned regarding TMS method which I use and in that thread Emmanuel helps lot of people to learn that system.

To tell you truth I start Forex trading Big and it's only Luck that I don't lose my account,

but stake was so big, that wasn't sleeping at all.. then I went trading small, and I never lose much

And make some, Now I have no interest in Forex actually, Just playing for fun, it's more like a Casino..

Every time I stick my nose into trade hoping for just a RANGE (Averaging) trade all of the sudden I catch the large trend,

which is moving against me and always test me if I have balls )) I HATE STOP LOSS PERIOD.

But the problem is, ODDS are always against you..

Open 2 DEMO accounts and use one Like you always do, use Moving Averages, Logic, Renko, Trendlines, Indicators, whatever

And then On the other one BID against Yourself.. Got it? Guess what the output going to be???

Right, you going to lose on BOTH accounts, whichever direction you pick That's how easy and fair

Forex is.. Try it ones and see.. Since you blowing up your accounts, then I guess bidding up

against yourself should be profitable, right? Well try it ones and see..

And i, on my first account in 2012 i got some big luck i guess because in the period of 6 months i made 450% return from crude oil only and then for one bad deal that i opened with too large volume that i refused to close at loss i lost most of it, oh and i was adding to it as the price went lower . Then last year i did good more or less, i haven't calculate it, but i think i doubled my account trading silver mostly. I say year but actually i was trading from April to July, rest of the time i just look at the market once or twice a week just to see how things are going. And this year i made a bad start with silver but i am doing good with curde and rarely. I also trade eur/usd even tho currencies aren't my favorite if i see a good opportunity i give it a try.

I reckon it has hit the bottom today bouncing back from 1131. With the absence of any major news from the US next week, gold should find some support and have a relief rally towards 1160+ Not sure what will happen after that time, next week will tell. Any other suggestions welcome.

Think we might see one more push below 1130 before gold retraces. Holding off longs until then.

Impossible? Well, then how it's possible that 95% people picking any direction can be losers?

Before you said impossible, Just open 2 Demos and see.. Both going to be losers mid-long term
