Long gold from 1160. Poor NFP, revised prior NFP, poor labor participation rate, Greek crisis...gives FED an excuse to pause.

Ty for your findings... I am aware they had been fined however I have never had problems with FXCM on all aspects from trade execution, connection during key news hours - which i have experienced with other brokers where there's always disconnections during news hours. I think market opening times are different with different brokers which is why we see these differences in prices. I understand all traders are different but for me I usually have a $30 room for me to ride in either direction on all my trades on Gold.

I have done withdrawals in the past with FXCM but never had the funds refunded back to the credit/debit card so its good to know that this is not an issue if I have the need in the future. They had wired me my withdrawal and i received the funds the next day without any hassle.

If you wish to trade high voltage news or any other news, try avatrade. FXCM is a bad broker on that front.

Avatrade's withdrawal system is very tiring, I hate it. otherwise they are one of the best IMO.

The charts are hilarious on this board. Just keep it simple rookies and make some money, there is NO system that will EVER work with gold, only support and resistance.

EUR/USD is sliding in early trading. Gold trading has yet to commence but I have my 2 long positions open from 1160. Likely, we'll see some spike, at least to 1188...but maybe above 1200 as not only Greece, but Chinese economy looms large...plus U.S. traders come back after holiday weekend. Going to be interesting.

I took my profits in EUR/USD, but left my gold longs open. Wednesday's FED minutes should be key to market direction, and probably why traders have not pushed gold prices up after Greek vote. Perhaps the expectation that the FED will continue on course to raise rates in September is making traders cautious?

I am staying in my longs opened at 1160. Interesting that despite Greek fiasco, gold is trending down, though this could be in anticipation of some ECB miracle and/or U.S. FED FOMC minutes and Yellen speech on Friday...or just covering positions. I'm very tempted to add to longs but am just a bit cautious now
