My tp and sl are based on dynamic sr levels updated by the minute (reason why i killed this morning's short scalp).

When I say scalp, it is counter trend.

A trade for me is either with trend on a particular timeframe, or based on good buy/ sell value aimed at accumulation/ price averaging. TP on "trades" is not preset - it is based on reversal of the same signal as used to take the trade. I don't use SL on trades - these are v low leverage (starting at 0 and going up to max 8 times)

e.g. I am presently net heavily long on xauusd, with buys at 1212, 1194 (from yesterday) and looking to add at 1179 and 1137 if/ when we get there.

closed 3 longs from 1202 out of 5, open 1 short at 1210 TP 1207 waiting draghi or jelen (maybe), still aiming 1266+ with longs

I am going to share how I trade. I would like to have your thoughts on that. I've been succesfull since fall last year with this system.
I look at the news events coming up that day and try to guess how that will effect the course .
Then I put in a trade with 0,8% of my account ex. : I've just put in a trade buy at 1211.74 .
Then I put in several pending trades. ex 0,8% pending buy limit at 1206.00, 0,8% pending buy limit at 1201,00 (that's around pivot point)
1,6% at 1196 and 3,2% at 1191 (witch was the strong support line the previous days)
No SL only TP on the first two trades, the rest is open.

I agree totally re "scalps" by the time you post the deal has been done and won ...... xauusd to me is a very personal short or med/long term time frame ... WHAT I REALLY think helps is the posting of charts that show the long term but give the scalpers a chance to deal as well ....just IMO
