Theirs "Update price" is for today, and it's different than I see it on my MT4 software

Mine: 1201.98
Theirs: 1203.90

and they say it's updated today, so I'm just checking if price is 1203.xx when market opens then I can say theirs data is true, otherwise not

Yea how can it be updated if it hasn't changed in 3 hours.

BTW closing price I have from Friday is 1201.70 so even if it opens at 1203.90 that's nothing to get exited about.

1213.90 maybe.

Otherwise $1, $2 even $ 3 differences although technically are a gap - big deal.

Price can fluctutate $1 - $2 during weekends.. such variation is possible across websites & brokers.. I have seen price falling $5 - $10 during weekend on FXCM and then price re-opening at same price.. needless to say weekends are tricky.. ECN trading can have its impact on brokers' quotes during weekends...

This website http://www.goldpriceoz.com/ is showing below which is creating clamor here. Since, nobody is sure about the track record of this site's such speculation, any further speculation on the basis of such site would be like tossing a coin.

With all that said, in today's situation.. this does not mean there shall be a gap-up opening.. of course I do not rule-out +ve opening towards North..

Around New Delhi morning I'll review the situation, if patterns & VVSA support, I would like to take a long shot.. Long Monday looks good before it heads towards 118x..

apparently break 1200 & continue likely , though it can assume a d bottom but seems very narrow space for the bounce , again when it will for 1251 target\limit. so 1167\50 most probable b fore that limit , some up ok still to do so & somehow bounce for 1251 then only again will look for lower targets & even further low . Take care ,

1194 if tested again and not broken, leads to 1366. if 1.20 broken (closed above not below this week, so should be trading above in coming week, 1.2 tested 2 times this week), but if broken then 1166 next stop. If levels below 1166 is not seen, it means the gold reverse the bearish trend, since its making higher higs and higher lows and thats atractive for long term holder (with no sl, so noone cant hunt them )

I don't think that was their projection for the next day's trade, I think it the range that had for the previous day (Friday).

From a technical standpoint, gold rebounded off key support this week at the $1196/98. This level is defined by the confluence of the 61.8% retracement of the November advance & the 1.618% extension of the decline off the January high and is backed closely by a basic trendline support off the November low. We’ reserve this region as our near-term bullish invalidation level and although the broader bias remains weighted to the down-side, near-term this structure may offer stronger support. Note that daily RSI is holding just above the 40-threshold and we’ll use pending resistance trigger as validation of either a near-term recovery higher into the close of the month, or a material break sub 1196. Such a scenario targets subsequent support targets at $1171 & $1155. Interim resistance (near-term bearish invalidation) stands at $1218/24 with a breach above targeting $1239/40. Bottom line: looking for a low early next week with a general topside bias in play near-term while above $1196/98.

Gold markets went back and forth during the course of the session on Friday, testing the $1200 level for support. This area could see a lot of buying pressure as it is not only the large, round, psychologically significant number, it is horizontal support, and it is also congruent with an uptrend line. Because of that, we are looking for a reason to start buying, be it a supportive candle or break above the top of the range for the session on Friday. We have no plans on selling until we break down significantly below the $1200 level.

if you consider coming us yallens rep or testimony then you should wait to decide whether to buy or sell but if you trading trend i would like to long gold Up to 1217 ,and if you trade news and analyzing gold then you looking for bearish (which may never come) so i would take my chances and buy from 1203

Wicks on single bar reversals often should be ignored. This is what I see:

Hi all - just joined FF after lurking around for a while. Been following this thread for a while and was intrigued by the depth and breadth of analysis here. I trade gold (xauusd) exclusively. Plan to hang around and learn, plus eventually (hopefully) contribute in the future.
