Like I said, it would be a surprise.. well, it turned out to be..

Nevertheless, a pleasant one.. 100% in line with what I said on Friday.. about the support & long opportunity developing in the 1180ish area..

Logic: VVSA-H1 bottom-out right on top H1-SMA(555) on Friday, chart posted earlier..

Need to see a nice drop and people start chasing the low again and buying it up, will make for a big drop. More of a scalpers market past days. I just don't buy it at all. Maybe it will continue to rally but eventually it will break down again and make new lows iMO.

As I have stated in the past - till the time we have some fundamental madness going on, let's take every peak out as an opportunity to make money. Would short and seek a confirmation at 1198.50 on H4, if that is taken out comfortably anywhere today or tomorrow, it would be great otherwise I will short at the next high which would be around 1223.

Finally some resistance for the Bulls.. Lets see how this plays out until 12 pm NY..

Could be but considering the bear domination - I doubt 1260 while living in the current scenario, there are some hurdle at 1225 and then 1238 and the strongest one at 1255 which are to be taken out before expecting a breach or reach of 1260.

But anyways - we can't be sure, all we could do is follow the technicals and correlate the fundamentals a little with the technicals in order to arrive at a smoother path to a profitable trade. Keep up the good money management - never hope and trade, trade what is in front of you.

1214 - 22 is very tough and wouldn't be broken easily from here , need a pull back to 1186 -88 to do that IMHO

I am short from 1216.08, so let the game begins - I would add more positions near 1221 with a SL of 1226 however the resistance lies somewhere near 1223 but considering the stop hunting factor and the high volatility I would keep it at 1226.

US session peak-out around 12 pm NY could show early signs how its playing out further..

Since, it looks hot today.. I would extend this timeline & trade carefully till 5 - 7 pm NY.

I completely agree with you as the yellow metal, even after breaking the 1208 resistance level, seems unlikely to close above $1220 which is necessary for the gold prices to rally towards 1230. Only a sustained break of $1230 can cause the metal prices to rally towards 1256-60 region.
