A "NO" to scottish independence is the likely outcome later today/tmorrow morning.

If true, then technicals aside, this should have the effect of pushing price up imo

Price flirted wtih target 1 area... to me this is only a small retracement and a good opportunity to short again at 1224-27 level....

Particularly disappointed with my lack of discipline last night, opened a long @ 1223 with a SL @ 1214....woke up at 12am...saw I was $5 a drift and for some reason decided to close my position...wake up a few hours later and were back at 1223 and I would have been level! Moral of the story...when ur wife tells you to get back into bed...you need to listen!

I now have 1 long open @ 1222 with a TP @1236 and a SL @1215...I think we will see a No for Scotland today and expect the price to be pushed up off the back of this news

No correlation imo. The market can interpret it anyway it wants, both sides of the argument makes sense.

Exactly...

a no vote = stronger gbp but where is gold here...?

a no vote = no change (thus no safe haven buying)

Was thinking about this earlier too. The USD has been a stronger safe haven of late imo so a "no" may see any pricing in of a yes disintegrate from the USD (though not sure that counts for much).

Be sure to be covered in case of a "yes" win as it would surely set the market into whirlwind of activity. I think vote counts are going to start to be released in the NZ and AUD open market times. Large news with low volume is sure to make a few whipsaws.

and its going down, down, down.

if you look at W1 chart with Bollinger Bands (50) you see they struggle together and getting closer.
Normaly you would say, there is a brake-out coming - if you see this on an M30 chart, and you better wait.

How do you setting Bolinger Bands? It only says 20-20000 if I'm not mistaken. Since I never use that tool.

Our preference: Short positions below 1239 with targets @ 1215 & 1207 in extension.

Alternative scenario: Above 1239 look for further upside with 1250 & 1257 as targets.

Comment: As long as 1239 is resistance, look for choppy price action with a bearish bias.
