Or you could wait for a trend reversal to take hold before jumping in, its never too late to ride a trend.

Imo this has a high probability of seeing 1240s followed by 1180, these areas are so near now, they are likely to act as price magnets.

To be honest, I'm least interested in trading or investing at this juncture. However, if I see a reasonable peak out, I would like to hedge the 14 longs I'm holding.

Yea, on the contrary it may not fly as high as 1450 later, but somewhere between 1350 and 1450 is what I'm targeting by mid of Dec on the basis of Golden Seasons

I just closed one short which was lying @ 1309

NET: 15 longs now

Shorts 15
Longs 30

A little green was not bad.

Seems like a really high target. But according to your seasons, investing in June and July actually resulted in losses. We had a top and crashed down. I guess I would only trust the seasons if it does get to your target this time round. Hope you get more greens mate

First thing, seasons are not for traders, but for investors, well mentioned in my article..

Secondly, you didn't look at Golden Seasons and last 30 yrs' trends with discerning eyes, did you?

Do you know average trader's psychology? They buy when price is climbing and sell when price is falling.

Do you feel Scared when you buy and price goes down the hill? I bet you do.

I don't mean to disrespect you in anyway, but, only trying to enlighten you.

Lol, Gemy, touchy much?

CT created this thread and has been helping other people for ages. He has always said quite clearly the strict use of golden seasons is for Investors. In case you don't know what that means, it means low or no leverage, long investment horizons and massive or no SL. Thus You start building longs at the start of the seasons but raise shorts to cover drawdowns. Simple enough for you?

I don't do it as I don't have the patience but its not even his theory, its a well documented study.

I was new on Gold, but I also made the plan for 1410 as well...and yes, I also study back for 3-4 year., this period should be a downside and from december till january , I notice that an upside...

I am just agree on what I see.....

But hope that 1254 zone is right for me..haha

golden season ended in 2012,........... 2013, onwards season does not correlates , big investment banks & central banks such as ECB, &BOJ & also other gold cartel in middle east control the gold prices to avoid fall of the dollar & US Treasuries . High risk of investment on gold trade but need hedge with dollar index.

Gold prices will be under scrutinized by banks until 2015 Jan - Feb....during the review US debt Celling.
But then things can change in near term if Russia & Iran forgo the dollar for import & export in gas & oil using their own currency.
China stops buying US treasuries & buys another 3000 to 5000 tonnes of gold to back the Yuan/Remmebi.
India reduces Import Taxes for Gold items from overseas.

Untill then it will range between 1450 to 1250 . This is only my personal opinion.

Hi CT,

The weekly chart shows us that the last quarter of 2011, 2012 and 2013 were bearish for gold.
It also shows that volatility has been decreasing and that this year we've been ranging in a simmetrical triangle.

I would much appreciate your opinion on this matter, thanks

My floating loss right now is not more than the profit made earlier this season, still break-even. Anything you have to share with people here?
