1260 is a fairly important number for the bulls, its the 61.8 Fibo level. Keep in mind the daily is oversold and Fridays price action (to me) says next week will likely be a retest of 1260, then up to 1280ish. Silver has legs to break out above 19.28 - 19.32 region to give it legs to test 19.5 and higher.

I'm long (for now) as the potential for upside in the next day or two outweighs downside likelihood.

The USDX appears well overstretched so any retirement from it will be welcoming for gold/silver.

A few of my TL's.

Imo this region appears to me to be very well supported. I am also looking at oversold with divergence, close to the same sized daily bars the last two days (a reversal signal) and a 4hr falling wedge. With disappointing results out from the NFP/employment it could be the USD pullback that could kick gold back onto the topside.

On the downside PA has a BO from the lower orange TL that may create enough momentum to crack the rest of the support and if the weekly dark blue TL gets a clear break then I doubt if we would see these levels again for quite sometime. If things keep mending in Russia/Ukraine then it could create a risk on environment again though imo who could seriously trust Putin.

IF price can spend next few w. days or entire next week in the peak out process, I would love to hedge some or all of my longs in the 1270-1280 or higher area.

On broad level my mood is bearish.

PS: I have 14 Gold longs right now which I wish to hedge.

Hi guys

i am short all the week.
Onthe next week i believe that we should see 1254 (last is 1257 ) and will going up to 1280-1300 zone , before the drop down for a new low.

So my plan will long after retrace. And hold till 1283 and wait to see how she move.

Just saw this commen ,CT

I am looking quite similar to you 1200,1180,1150 , this may take months till december.

My big plan will be the next pullback and open a short for a long period, i am preparing the money together with MM, and also a multiple bullet is a must.

Hope i am right about it ^_^

Hi Gents,

Here is my thoughts on next moves for Gold. This approach based on Harmonic patterns.

Overall trend is Down and i believe it will go down in long run until 1215 in couple of weeks. Then, shoot up from there to challenge 1300. However, i expect following steps for price action.

1. Move up from 1268 to 1295. The reasoning comes from Bullish Gartley Pattern (Already formed). See chart 1.
2. Move Down from 1295 to 1215. The Reasoning Comes from Bullish Gartley Pattern (to form yet). See chart 2.
3. Move from there to upside to minimum 1300.

Let me know your thoughts?

For the short term for the dollar index:

RSI is Strongly Bearish
MFI is Strongly Bearish
Stochastic is Strongly Bearish

I'm with this guy, completely agree what his charts are indicating. I've also been watching the USDX like a hawk and if we breach above the channel that is shown in the graph it will be a signal to get out of my longs on silver(and gold). Until then I will be long as we test this strong USDX resistance point.

The chance of a reversal in the USDX and Gold is quite likely in the short term.

My view and analysis are based on seasons and similar cycles. I strongly think its not going way down to 1150, but, like a wise trader, I'm prepared if it does so.

Secondly, bears don't have forever to dominate bulls. The bulls shall be back soon and I expect the price to fly through 1420-25 levels by mid or end of December.
