Sorry to say but i guess this chart is very unrealistic , what time lag you are considering to move gold that high/low. . . . I mean no fundamentals and technicals in near future ( 3 months) can take gold to this as long as we are in state of war . lol ...

ill start to go short on gold when it reach the 1295 zone it looks good to me 1295 and ill add later to it if it gos up ('',)

Added 2 shorts this morning. and one pending order for short at 1292 with t/p of 1282 on all the three.

Holding 3 long, 2 short and 1 pending order (short).

Hi mate,

I think he was just highlighting the triangle formation, commonly seen before a breakout. where the projections have intercepted the price on the secondary axis is irrelevent. If we fall out the bottom, its a short signal, vise versa. where it is heading after it breaks out is anyones guess

The movement of gold in the last week of August 2014 goes on counting elliottewaves :
According to analysis in 1303-1305 , when the price of sensitive points is also still in downtrend to fall 1257-1272 levels.
First support in this rally is 1280, then we have 1272 , if market could reach under this price, as soon as possible reach 1265-1267 ,end of this rally we have 1257 support levels where we believe reach this price is difficult for precious metal.
One of the factors caused this counting of wave not true , goes price above 1305 , then close daily candle above this , in this conditions we count again , if price keep above 1305 , we expect new highs for precious metal in the months ahead.

The threat of full scale war in Ukraine isn't affecting gold, i wonder why, i don't believe there will be such war, but hm should i close my shorts now on small profit, i don't know

General question (off topic though) But to me this people in this thread are the most reliable
When retail traders are net longs like NZD/USD in this case, so the price will drop cos of large trader are net shorts?

I closed a short at BE but I don't like the PA right now, maybe we're going further down?

edit: My indicators show me on H1 tf we could go down about 40 pips..

generally the figure is base on that company data only. the forex volume is not very uniform and doesnt apply to every company/platform.

So answer is No, ur retail traders might be wrong. all of them might be wrong.

if any of the major funds start to sell or buy, that is where the wave start.
