Previous Weekly High and Weekly R1 above are strong resistences. It looks it would retest Monthly Pivot below at least and then perhaps it's ll be stuck on around 70 pips range in-between until U.S. news release... Pending stop oders beyond this range before news release can be a decent trading plan today. {image}

Yes you're right Catempire. I'm just trying to get over the shock. Next stage is to bulid a system that can overcome the vagaries of Forex. I'm still holding out a candle for the concept that one can earn a living out of Forex if one finds a system that they are comfortable with and one that is effective in yielding reasonable profit monthly. However these Forex vagaries are terribly unsettling and one must meditate over whether it is worth working in a skewed system.

Anyone looking at XAUUSD would think that Unemployment Claims was unfavourable for the dollar. However on perusing the result we see it was favourable. The dollar should appreciate. The market movers will not allow that to happen; instead we have the opposite reaction. In fact the price of gold hit its highest point today AFTER the Unemployment Claims result. You therefore have a manipulated, skewd system.
