These are micro-lots, this account does not has huge capital, relying on seasons.. regardless of all this, its about my faith and conviction in my strategy.

Fantastic Clocktrader! August and September are strong months for Gold seasonally I presume. I hope this correction below 1290 gives you chance to accumulate as much you can.

Like your quotes on MM too, you know what you are upto thats the key. Some forum members might go long without SL going into FOMC and get beaten badly because they dont use MM or stoploss, thats why I advised caution to them.

There is a bot available for that , it does "buy only" gold on dips its called FGT. It typically does what you are trying to do "Start Investing Gold in June, Sell by/in Jan, Retain some if you can!", you can start using it from June it will buy all dips for you and you can close when you want

Somehow I can figure out tops (peak-outs) using VSA, sometimes I'm wrong, but, I can hedge at least half of the times.. so I'm good. I didn't hedge effectively earlier because the number of positions was too low. I am from India, the leverage I use here is like 1:2 or 1:4 at the most. Anything like 1:10 or more is suicide or lets say gambling.

Like I say my MM is not bad. Have a green one you all..

PS: Seems you are new here, I never trade news, I love to watch time / news triggers though.

PPS: We don't use SL in India, neither with longs nor with shorts

I saw a video about this on YouTube on a live account and it wiped an $80k account in a day.

I see, using SL or TP has nothing to do with India or China or Russia , I know several Indian traders who use SL when they are leveraged since you are under leveraged with 1:1 or 1:2 you seem to not use SL which I understand and respect. Good luck!

I have another one which I have never used but this sounds more promising... "basically 5 minutes before news comes out; pick a buy and sell stop loss order outside the range of a one hour candle... when the news comes out; it usually spikes in one direction... this way you can catch the spike and cash out immediately...

I think this should work; with the possibility of every now and then being triggered in both directions... "
