Dude if your RR is fine and your got enough margin to take on the waves, just let it play out, it will eventually put PA back up.

4hr seems like a break and retest of a trendline. Let's see the close of 4hr candle. My 2 cents as I dont trade gold yet.

  1. I don't trade in India on daily basis, but only buy and take profit from highs, period..
  2. I never use SL here (technically the system does not allow)

Currently PA is on its bearish route with possibly much more downside to come...

There is a bullish gartley pattern formation which can be triggered in the 1299-1301 zone; which will make price retrace back to 1310;

Or otherwise Price can either retrace lower as in the chart below or then move in a sideways consolidation on the daily chart (like in the charts I drew on july 17 post)​ http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?p=7614529#post7614529

The turning bullish scenario is if good volume and support is seen on 1300 level; then perhaps we could attempt to go back to 1331 level again; to complete the D wave of the (perfect) bearish gartley. I have also shown this in the link above!

Interesting your positioning sheet. For me these orders seem completely erratic, random, arbitrary??? Also, to be useful, I need some more info, if you are OK to reveal those. With price on 5.30pm CET @ 1305.15 1) your B are limit orders I understand: what is the strategy for placing these orders: 2@1245, [email protected]??????, 1252.94???, 1253.06, etc. till 1258.39 and than you have B stops: from 1307.320 till 1313.53, then a few S limit from 1320.69 till 1321.64 and than again some B stops??????? How many lots do you trade per position? Thanks in advance for some clarification. Bern

Just for traders information on PA - I get a lot of PMs asking me simple questions, I suppose everyone starts somewhere. But just look at the chart below of Gold at current PA and look at the simplicity of PASR.

Im not here to preach my trading methods or nothing, but im more than happy to answer questions if asked.

Trade what you can afford to loose and keep it simple. I would never recommend trading gold or silver to new traders but even so, just keep it clean and simple until your own system is in place.

Apologies to all you experienced traders that find this post as trading 101.

ct your vew is just ahead of the market 1 week so you'll suffer while the downside develops this week lol

If you had read post-1 of this thread, perhaps you won't be asking these questions.

as for lots, I don't intend to share the size, for your understanding you can assume these are micro lots and this account is for practice.

If you intend to know how deep my pockets are, you can assume my net worth is way more than half a dozen average French (or Americans) of my age clubbed together.

PS: I suggest people to focus on their trades and analysis instead of worrying about the size of my lots.

Possible trading for next 24h can be as shown in this 4H chart. Any opening short at actual level with TP @ 1292 and SL @ 1315 or just above descending trend line, can give us a not bad R/R. Just my modest opinion...

gold made a major break down on the 4 hr chart,with a downtrend daily chart,now i doubt if it can go up to 1310 before seeing 1260

Gold is in a corrective elliottwave pattern:

Where A leg was a zigzag; followed by a BC (flat wedge formation)

1298-1300 would be an interesting area to watch; to see if there is reversal which will confirm the bullish gartley which might take the price back to 1310 support level; which could then be deemed as "E"!. (as mentioned in my last post)

If not then we are likely going down...
