Just have some faith that Tenkan Sen could cut through Kijun Sen 2morrow so that we can have a clear picture

Senkou Span B did not hold for long as a support in H1 :'(

Happy to see another ichi member...

I have entered a short @ 1298.65 with TP @ 1292.68 in preperation for the the bear signal showing on the H1, although not strong as need a tk cross to show. Therefore setting a trailing TP to 45. SL @ 1301.90

Trailing stop took out the order, getting some sleep. Work in 3 hours!!

Any sellers targetting around 1260 by the end of the month? Hammer and forming the second shcoulder on the 4h chart .

what hammer are you referring too?

Head and shoulder is not convincing...

But sure price can fall to 1260

Sorry meant the inverted hammer on the monthly chart forming an evening star. sl set at 1310

hmm.. Be careful though. As the doji after that "inverted hammer" type of formation implies indecision to a change/reversal. If you look at the daily there seems to be good support; some will even argue that an uptrend is in place;the weekly chart seems to be implying the same thing with all those pull backs). April/May have historically/generally been very difficult months to trade...

I feel its just teasing in the range 1303-1277, I am expecting it to drop back to 1288 today where we will continue sideways, until the news as this pair still seems soo undecisive, unfortunately as much as i'd love to with my shorts do not see a re-test back down to 1277 imminently and definitely not a break through that level on the downside, unless there is more manipulation, Ukraine news dissapears, personally i feel ukraine has paused the longer term downtrend and possibly caused a reversal to the upside, Bulls are fighting hard to reverse and seeing 1277 again just makes it more likely to see new highs again also, especially with all the support down there. Please can you comment on my thoughts??

Interesting. My analysis supports an upward move - for how long, who knows. I think price should reach the 1310 area in the near future - just hope it does not touch my stop loss (currently at BE) before doing so. Half already banked half at 100 pips, so already in +ve territory.

Time will tell.

Well it could still be upwards, as its had a good run up since 00:00 GMT, I'd say just on the trends its up to 1306 and back down again, the $ is improving but the markets are not reacting to this on gold much, only reason I can think of is the Ukraine crisis, if there is some more negative news we will definitely be going up up up. But dont seem to be doing much other than up and down in a range eating up stops since past few weeks. My biggest regret not having a tp set last night on a sell position, yet i had a stop loss on a buy position :/

Yes you are right gold has been teasing in that range...its been stalemated and yes it is the ukraine issue that has stopped the downtrend! & I think it will untill may 25th. Clearly Russia's stance today has implied that they support the referendum which has kind of changed the scene... I expect tensions to increase until may 25th.. and this will clearly keep gold from moving to the downside (1200). If anything gold can rally... Furthermore any bad numbers coming out of the states or even China can even cause it to rally because now the excuse of "bad weather" will not be there!

On a more fundamental level in march when yellen came and scared everyone of raising interest rates in 6 months has now recently been put aside and replaced with words like "as long as it takes"... Hence this should get the grassroot buyers of actual physical gold and central bank buying back into action as clearly usd is going to hurt with zero interest rates in the longer term...(perhaps not at these levels but definitely low 1200's...)

Summer is usually hard to predict; as volatility generally dies out... but I suspect any bad economic news from the u.s from now on; will only give the impression of interest rate hikes to be delayed and this will help gold move up & perhaps start a new cycle! This could ofcourse backfire in the opposite direction if we consistently keep getting good numbers...but after Yellens last speech; I am less afraid of seeing Gold drop below its 1100 lows...because risk is still there.

Yes definitely agree with you, that's why im hitting myself that I shouldve stayed out until things become clearer. Then again the Ukraine thing has been dragging, we all know their will never be a war if there is any war its a World War! (extremely highly unlikely) and there will be no forex left all the hard work to get the markets back up after the recession is lost and everyone tumbles, even any major sanctions will have huge implications on the world economic growth, unlikely USA or any other will let this happen, I'm sure they will let Ukraine burn before they risk something like that. Yet ppl are still scared their maybe maybe humans like wars!

Maybe its just a trick to make us all go long long long and then bam, you see Obama and Putin shaking hands on t.v. meeting up for dinner next week, and we all suffer. Or a trick to keep us out of the shorts so it can sustain the fall downwards............. this is my imagination speaking now

Yes somehow all the g7 countries want this to be a "regional/domestic" war; hence with the mild sanctions... But still Putin is provoking the west a little; but generally speaking if the western countries do desert Ukraine... this will not bode well on global politics as Ukraine has voluntarily given up their nuclear arms... Any country which does that deserves all the support to protect its sovereignity? Otherwise World peace will be at risk in the long haul! & this will just reflect bad on the so called "nuclear club" who don't want any other countries to join...There is a lot more at stake here - if you come to think of it!

But this is a different story - and I don't think we should talk about this in this thread!

hahaha! This trail of thought is no different from that person who gets his stop losses hit all the time...and then he/she thinks that their broker might be conspiring against them!

Well yes true, but at the same time does its sovereignty really need protecting? Against Ukrainians who have peacefully protested wanting to break away from the state, alternative is internal Civil War, and will the countries support a government who are at war with their own citizens? Will Russia help (the rebels) they have assisted Iran and the Syrian regime, with nothing but blank threats from the USA, given that was more of a concern to them as its a threat to Israel.... so what is Ukraine in comparison..... Russia is far more advanced now in political dialogue and we are not ready for a war neither can we afford one. I'm negative of any speculation of the possibility of war with Russia, which will push up Gold and which is stopping traders from selling it. Better such traders invest in shares of weapons manufacturing companies or food ration companies ........ Than keeping gold from following it trend!

No I agree...we cannot afford a war! And more likely there will be no war...but the story of ukraine goes deeper and is more complex..but just think it from their perspective...here they once owned nuclear weapons (and they gave it up) and today they lost crimea and now they are being threatened of losing more states...

My reason of bringing Nuclear arms is something for future global peace... as a failure for the international community to come to ukraines help by russia annexing crimea plus further threatening to take more states; is only going to lead more nation states pursue nuclear programs...countries like "iran" and "n.korea" will have a valid justification... This is subtle and has never appeared in the forefront but a failure to honor Ukraine's sovereignity and come to their defence is going to raise many question marks and lead to other nation states building arsenals...
