Of note...this is the first time in two weeks the 4 hr chart has moved above the 20 bar moving average.

A Daily close above 1300 could provide todays daily candle as supportive therefore could initially have bottomed out.

The same applies for the bulls. They all took profit and are out of their positions. In fact, I think the bears will come in again to recoup losses.

Out of curiosity I just checked the ADP data, it seems neutral as per the FF site. I really don't know how to analyze news, honestly, I can only interpret red / green color on the FF homepage. Can anyone explain why it has been so volatile before and after this high impact news?

ADP is good. that should be green.
they revised, previous data.
as fundamental, should be down.

This spike happened before the news. The difference between actual and forecast was minimal and it had a minimal effect on all USD pairs. Gold was just crazy, before the news, possibly because many people closed their positions before the release. They were probably confusing ADP NFP for the official NFP which comes out on Friday, and is the biggest moving news of any release.

Not at all. This is not the case. First, the spike happened before the news. Second, the most important thing is deviation between forecast and actual. Previous months have minimal effect (unless there is a revision). That is because the forecast value is priced into the market, and a deviation from that will force a price movement.

Thanks fellas for the kind inputs, analyzing news looks too complex to me. I think I will stick to fundamentals of trading i.e. buy when it seems bottom, sell when it looks like a peak. I'll keep it simple.
