We will at least test the 1335 today. But I believe gold is still bullish, remember Crimea. It is as if there is nothing happening there. I believe both the west and east are preparing something which may trigger political unrest

my system says to wait for a while to see whether it will go up or down. no trade atm. (short term)

I just closed 2 shorts at 1345 I had opened 1388, and fortunately, made back a good portion of the money I lost during this Ukrainian run up. I still have 2 trades open (break-even is 1314) but will wait for result of FED meeting before adding additional trades. I suspect that another $10 billion will be added to taper (maybe more?), but I also expect the unexpected and think any surprises are likely to push gold back to 1375, but there are greater odds we could see 1300 or 1288 by the end of the week.

Like i am wondering...what will happen when NY opens? What does that do with gold prices?

Is FED meeting going to push up gold most likely? Or rather down?

I'm ideally looking to close all my open trades before the FOMC and just wait until it clears up as like you said it could be the unexpected like we have seen over the past few weeks with PA and SR.

I'd probably manually close all my open shorts around 1343-1340 (next few hours IMO).

Down it goes....i should of stepped out when i was break even 30minutes ago...but hey, who can see the future hu...if we could we wouldn't be here right

I still think its going to 1351 in the next hour. After that its probably going lower to the low 40s again until FOMC

Thanks...though my losses can be attributed to going in too early, and too heavy. My worse quality as a trader has been calling the majority of the price action (good), and then not being patient enough to let the price action come to me. Interestingly, I said to a fellow trader a year ago that if price reached 1200, I would put all of my chips in as I thought this was an excellent risk/reward price area. Of course, I did not follow my own well thought strategy, and missed many good trades over the last 3 months (though still managed 31% in one of my accounts). Nonetheless, I also said that if price action were to reach 1400 without a significant change in the same fundamentals that caused price action to be at 1200 a few months ago, I would go short back to 1250. Thankfully, I still have a few trades open, though I probably should have left the trades I just closed...open. However, that would have violated my other rule...which is never ever trade when the FED is making a big decision. While you may not get in at the top or bottom, you reduce risk.

Abaout your open postion I told you already answer
I suggest you to trade micro lot on all Instruments for the first 2 years.
There is alot of broker who can give you trade Crude oil gold silver forex and more Instruments in micro lots
So in the first 2 years in every trade you can loss 10$+-
Take the time...in the end its will be ok..you cant now to loss or win 1500$ in a week...its big for a new trader
You must learn form this money! so take 2years and work on micro lots and try to survive.
