ok, I'll look what I can do, your atr-thingy sounds nice (but I think using the normal iATR-command would do the job also) ...

I actually recall why I didnt get Guru's after I just downloaded it along with the indicator again. The indicator had a parameter called "length" which is not accustomed to or part of ATR in any way, so I stepped away from using it since it seemed to change the indicator quite a bid adjusting it's value.

I got an EA I've been using but I noticed that it seems to be glitched or using the current ATR and not the previous bar's so it will actually shift around based on live data rather than "step" like the picture I posted on the previous page. It's quite a handy EA and I am trying to use its coding, to combine it with the indicator I have.

I have uploaded it for you if you are interested. If you'd be willing, and the job was done superbly to my aim, I'd be will to negotiate a "tip" with you but it would have to be what I have in mind. If not that's ok too. I'll see what you come up with. Either way, the help is already appreciated.

This EA had something I liked alot- It set a initial stop loss for you then trailed it as well based on ATR period 20/ and 2.0 multiplier (which was also the intial stop setting I used). So you could set market executions or pendings and it would put in the stop.
It had 2 modes but I only used the ATR mode. The other I wasn't really look to use or needed. Infact I been butchering it the editor trying to break it down to the bare essentials and keep what I liked and add in the indicator settings.

Its problem was, as mentioned, it seemed to move around a lot reacting to live data rather than "stepping" using the previous bar's ATR stop (you could imagine it would fluctuate quite unrationally back and forth on live volatile data. Anyway... before I blabber up a storm, if I haven't already. Here is a link to the post from which I got it if you need to read about it a little and the EA is attached here. A Russian coded it, as you'll see. The only modification I was able to do (just looked @ code for the first time this week) was I removed the sound alerts from it because man... they went ballistic. That's a separate file. This is the original.

pls. try the attached one (no guarantee at all, use on your own risk)
make sure that you have the indicator "ATRTrailStop_v3" in your mt4/experts/indicators/-folder (because there is no errorchecking).



edit: There are some problem with the ATR-Indicator and e.g. the GOLD-pair.

and if you open the EA with the mq4-editor and go to line 26/27, you could change this:

bool SendTestBuyOrder=false;
bool SendTestSellOrder=false;
to that:

extern bool SendTestBuyOrder=false;
extern bool SendTestSellOrder=false;

if "true" the EA will open the corresponding order (BuyOrder/SellOrder) at startup (with 0.01 standardlots, no tp, no sl). You could use that feature with the backtester to see what happens ...

It works wonderfully! I'm still dazzled with all the other settings from the template you had. There apparently was already an ATR trailing stop setting.
Can you tell me does it work very similarly? I know this indicator is not a true ATR that I have because of the "medianprice/medianbase" options. I'll have to take a look @ the indicator's code and the ATR's equation in one of the technical analysis books, but as stated... I never coded before until taking a look @ mlq4 just this week. That was some work you did, timely too. Very much appreciated. If you do any custom work for commission let me know. Thanks again.

BTW Have you seen any issue that could be causing XAUUSD to only show long stops for this indicator? Its one of my most traded pairs.

you can search in the code for "LvlDn = 1000" (3 times in the indicator)
try to replace the 1000 with 100000 , maybe this helps.

seems to work (at least at my diff. platforms).
if it does not work for some reasons, open the code and change "UseFix=true" to UseFix=false

Hi guys, does anyone have any clues on the korharmonics indi software?
I want to call just the One2One trigger but its quite a bit over my head.

There are 3 buffers which does not tell me much, but I guess one of these will have to be called.

I downloaded the one you uploaded and on top of that I changed the 3 1000's that appear to 10000 but didnt change a thing. Indicator still works on other pairs, didnt break it, but for some ready XAUUSD still only has support for longs. Its 6 digit XXXX.XX. I tested it on an Alpari Demo to compare it to my Live broker and it works on alarpi, but they are 7 digits on gold. XXXX.XXX. I guess its no big deal. Just curious as to the cause of it....

Must be my broker. Same thing, but the new indicator did not cause any issues anywhere so I will leave it.
On the EA: What procedures should and shouldn't be done. I've been experimenting with it today. In the backtesting it seems to have worked when it made its own stop and trailed it.
I've been setting my own stops and it hasnt been moving them candle by candle. Hasnt been moving them at all. All the settings I left unchanged except I changed the buffer to 2 pips instead of 10. Will setting my own initial stop affect this. What are the Do's and Dont's?

Also will checking other time frames stop it from working? Is there a limit to the amount of orders it will manage? And how many pairs?

not sure, I only checked it (quickly) via backtesting.

Maybe "FilterByMagicNumber" is true and you did not enter the corresponding magicnumber? Set it to false.
Then UseATRTrailStop_v3 must be true, if Atr_v3_TrailOnlyIfOrderInProfit is also true it should move the stops regardless if the order is in profit or not.

when i have the time I can check it on "real demo/live"-acc ...
