Yep took out the longs with small profit back in with the shorts now.

It's a very uncertain market at the moment.

As the Tbond is close to 4% I think we are close to the end of rates rise. Is the gold moment coming?

Yep still holding onto the shorts I reopened yesterday. I have 3 open with 3 targets. 1363 being T1.

Got greedy and when my shorts were in profit I let them run which eventually ended up hitting my SL with a loss.

Long now also similar target.

I understand. When markets are choppy without direction, I take small profits. Now, I think market has a "trend"...though not sure how long it will last.

gold behaves as per above scenario.

expect shock & awe move up above 1450, once big guys start covering or jumping in, realising yet again TA is useless.

Yes, maybe longs from this area through 1,388. it already broke the 1,400 resistance, and even with very light volume it is likely to extend a bit further, perhaps to 1,420.

war in Syria seem nearly guaranteed accompanied with gold crossing 1400. I guess people with lots of cash in Syria will want to buy gold so they can move wealth out of country with least damage.

Why would otherwise gold rise on such news ? Just to buy like an idiot with spare cash gold, because there is war coming, is dumb. I think food makes much more sense.

Anyway, escalation could propel gold up and trigger sharp shortcovering above 1450.

Manipulation down followed now with manipulation up.

I've got pending buy orders set in at 1400.

1413 being my first major resistance (TP1).

Central banks buying again (The central banks of Russia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan returned to the gold market once again in July, topping up their stockpiles of the precious metal as prices traded near three-year lows.) + developments in Syria give me the long bias. I may short from resistance zones if I get reversal signals.
1423 looks likely to me.
