Is "rumor" hahaha. Last time I checked, they are done liquidating that's why gold has been going up -- no more big hedge fund selling. Today will be an interesting day for the weeks to come.

Technical Outlook on current PA:

IMO i'm short - we are in a diamond SR at present based on the 4HR chart and currently midway. News later on today is obviously going to kick this pair up or knock it down.

1386 taken out and I will be waiting for a long entry based on a clean close.

1339 taken out and I will be waiting for a short entry based on a clean close.

Feds tapering news could turn markets treacherous. We have to wait for the FOMC. I am sure he is gonna ask for more data to be looked into. As far as gold is concerned, it is following its seasonal trend. Please follow the news of FOMC to immediately shun losses on long positions if tapering is about 20 - 25 billion a month and they are being implemented by September.

Else its 1422 all the way. There is a dark cloud cover pattern on gold today

The current rise seems to be over near 1422 for a mighty correction towards 1174 and 1080 which is the production cost for gold. There is a quadruple buy signal but you never know when bernanke would spring surprises to topple trends and markets temporarily showing that US is on its way to recovery without any consumer confidence.

Hope we get a nice move down with the current 4HR candle 19:00-23:00 GMT. Plenty of pips left on todays range referring to the ADR. 1374 support has been holding nicely this week.

So, the Fed has spoken. What did they say? They want to taper, they may do tapering, but they may not do tapering????

News influences the market in a major and minor way but at the end of the day whatever get's said is always nonsense.

well, maybe soros bought after paulson stopped. presume this is realively easy to figure out.

Who knows. The real news is FOMC, which is no news at all. I closed my short for a small profit as the Chinese news later on, as well as U.S. unemployment claims tomorrow might be more decisive.

We are back to the middle of the diamond zone again where we were at yesterday which is now actually a support line for me, has been for 14 previous 4HR candles. Covered my shorts still with SL @ BE + some.

I think today I may change bias and start building on my longs if we can't break out lower of this zone.

Shorts been hit by + SL.

Sitting on the sidelines for now for a clearer picture - perhaps 13:30 GMT today.

I actually opened two longs after my shorts closed looking at 1381.7 and 1414 (longer trade). Pierced through this minor channel looking to see where the 4HR closes. 1372 still holding strong resistance.

German PMI number positive. Took look risk short from 1,370 with stop at 1,391 and TP at 1,321. Don't think it will make it down that far today, but will let it run if U.S. unemployment number at or below expectations.

Took out short trade with small profit after U.S. Unemployment indicated a slight increase, plus revision to last report. Market is very choppy without a real direction. Back to the sidelines.
