Just to clear it up, they don't take a opposite position, there merely keep your loss and or pay out if you profit, most people lose so you get cheaper spreads while you learn, and FXCM get all of your losses.

Not saying that's wrong, it's your profits / loss and your fault, where the money goes FXCM or some Brokerage firm, who cares.

Your choice and it's still better than most brokers out there.
Nothing to it, but to do it!!! Stick to the plan FOOL!!!!

Hi, Why FXCM Demo account is showing "Market Closed". I am testing trade logic. I am trying to close some positions. But message received is "Market is Closed". All charts are showing Price is changing. But Terminal is not letting me close trades.

Since 4 hrs Terminal was "No Connection". Now it is connected but positions are not closing.

Advice me what to do. Imagine if we have same problem with Live Accounts. Check Demo trade # 13559365. I have about 8 positions are open and not a single is closing.

I'm sorry to hear you've been having these difficulties with your demo. The demo trade number you provided exists on multiple servers, so while I can't check your account from this, our 24-hour live technical support team can troubleshoot this issue for you, if you contact them by phone or online chat.

Had this been a live account, you would have been able to call our trading desk to place any orders you needed to by phone. And if you had lost money as a result of a tech issue on our end, the Trade Audit committee would be able to make the appropriate correction to your account.

My account has been locked because I failed to transfer my account to Friedberg Direct before Jan 11, since FCXM LTD is no longer service Canadian account. I still have some open positions. my question are:
a. do I have to transfer my account to Friedberg Direct, and
b. if yes, do I have to close all open positions before transfer, (This will make me a loss on the floating position)
c. can I keep all the open positions intact while transfer?
d. when is the deadline for transfer the account? (I was told that all the position would be liquidated but without a specific data)

Jason, I managed to close that DEMO position after 2 hrs. But right now I am trying to close one DEMO position 13609325 since 1 hr. Terminal is saying No connection. Live account has connection. But only DEMO is no connection.

I am forward testing one strategy.

Hi Cynthia,

To answer your questions:

 

  1. a. If you would like continue trading on the FXCM platform, it would have to be through Friedberg Direct (www.fxcm.ca), because regulations now require that all retail forex trading in Canada be done through a Canadian-regulated broker.
  2. b & c. Since the January 8th deadline has passed, we can no longer transfer your open positions from FXCM UK to Friedberg Direct. That means in order to transfer your funds, you will have to close all open positions. However, you could deposit some funds into your Friedberg Direct account to get it started. Then it would be possible for you to open new trades in that account at the same time you close out your old trades in the FXCM UK account. You'd pay the spread again, but other than that, it would be like you never got out of those positions. Remember, it's your Equity, not your Balance, that matters, and your Equity would be as if you never closed those trades.
  3. d. The deadline to opt-in for the automatic transfer was January 8th. All clients who completed the opt-in form by then had their accounts transferred on January 11th. Now, if you would like to transfer your account, you will have to follow the steps below.


  1. Complete the Friedberg Direct application: http://www.friedbergdirectfx.ca/
  2. (If you want to stay in the same trades)

    1. i. Deposit some funds in the new Friedberg account to get it started.
    2. ii. Open new trades in the Friedberg account at the exact same time you close the old trades in your FXCM UK acccount.

  3. Email [email protected] to transfer the funds to your Friedberg account after all trades in your FXCM UK account are closed.

is the one click order /sl/tp small panel on the chart avalable for fxcm MT4 ?
i have seen it everywhere but it seems to be broker dependent ?

I want to open a micro account at FXCM , I read in a web page says that withdrawal fee is $15 for the 1 st withdrawal of month calendar . Another web page say $40 for international account . Pls let me know what fee I have to pay for a micro account . Thanks

I am an international client and have a micro account , i made some withdrawals in the past it is $15 for the first one /calendar month , and it is fast , i dont know about your situation maybe there will be an intermediate bank which means some delays and extra fees .

Hi Sunlight,

Welcome to the forum

As Tar mentioned the international wire fee is $15. FXCM doesn't charge extra for sending funds to you through an intermediary bank, but your bank might so you should check with your bank regarding any such fees.

What is the min deposit in order to start with zulutrade ??? I asked 3 times and I got 3 different answers $ 200 , $ 500 , $ 300. So, what min I have to deposit in order to try zulu. I spend more than hour in order to get answers and which one is true. Chat is horrible I had to wait 5 min in order to get answer on one question. Like what this means...please 2 min, 5 min after answer, over and over again, horrible.

And How can I get answer about min deposit for zulu????? Probably opening account with Fxcm was mistake
