DislikedI've had W5 L6 and 2 BE so slightly negative but it has been a choppy day - many systems would do worse.
On days like this, instead of using default settings, I set TpPercentageOfSL=1.25 (the original system use R/R=1:1 so you could try that too). Cuts out a few of the reversals when there is no clear trend.Ignored

DislikedDear Steve,
There could be a problem with the following code in the IsTradingAllowed() function of Aurora:
Should it be the following with the "=" sign added (especially if...Inserted Code//Must be higher hi-lo in a rising market, and lower hi-lo in a falling market if (trend == up) { if (High[1] < High[2]) return(false); if (Low[1] < Low[2]) return(false); }//if (trend == up) if (trend == down) { if (High[1] > High[2]) return(false); if (Low[1] > Low[2]) return(false); }//if (trend == down)Ignored
DislikedPossibly, although I am not going to do anything about it. The high is either higher etc, or it isn't...............
Thanks anyhow. As you are helpful, I have added your name to the list of those able to post in my restricted threads, so ignore the restrictions when you come across them.
Cheers

DislikedSteve,
FF Junior member and lurker here. Sorry to have to post here (see above) but couldn't figure out how else to get this info to you. (Except to email you at your piano site and that seemed creepy )
You said:
"I do not properly understand how to extract values from the output file generated by Recent Strength. Once I do so, I can make H a much more flexible bot."
I think this post has the answer you were looking for (posts 304 and 305 at the Recent Strength Indicator thread):

DislikedLatest update to Aurora in post 1. I have added the Hanover module.
Would someone care to run a demo for a couple of weeks to see if this gives this EA a new lease of life?
In her latest thread trading a MA cross, lawgirl recommends a ratio of 1:4 to 1:6 between the trading and the trade-direction timeframes. Given that A is a M5 trader, would someone care to demo a H timeframe of M30?

DislikedFantastic. Thanks. There is only one of me, with my somewhat pathetically powered trading lappy, but umpteen permutations of settings of lots of bots.
What I need is lots and lots of testers. Most will go unsung.
Eventually, someone will come up with the Killer Combination.Here is hoping it is you.
