From where I sit, the current service from Go can not be described as "commercial". And, in spite of all the complaints since last year, nothing has happened. These issues could have been addressed within a short timeframe. It's been a year.
I feel your pain, I have been complaining for months, I trade all day long and I never know when my order will be filled sometimes 1 second sometimes 30 seconds, sometimes I have to disconnect and re connect, and when I let people on this forum know this all of a sudden I get few responses from people here that say they have no problems and that GO Markets is the greatest thing since sliced toast. I have spent the last week looking at other brokers and can`t wait to get off this merry-go round. It`s a shame when I go to GO`s website and I see they are now into race cars and all this nonsense when they should be working on these problems 24/7,

Hi Guys,

As I mentioned earlier in the week (http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...51#post4929351) an error was found in the firewalls on Monday resulting in lost packets of data which is directly responsible for the freezing that some of you have been experiencing. According to the logs of the firewall processors these issues have been in place for around 2.5 to 3 weeks.

The works to fix this are scheduled for this weekend, which is the earliest available opportunity that would not cause a major interruption to trading.

This weekend there are a number of stages involved to rectify this issue. Firstly, in conjunction with Juniper (the firewall manufacturer) the firewalls will be updated to the ensure they have the most recent configuration data and firmware. If that does not immediately fix the problem we will be removing those firewalls from our system to replace with a new firewall (same brand, different model). If that still causes the same problem then another firewall (different brand) will be put in place.

Once these works are completed there should be no lost packets of data and therefore the freezes and connection problems that some of you have recently seen should be no more and the system will be back to working how it was a month ago.

we know that but on sep 7 we have received firewall maintenance down time , we have assumed firewall was replaced on sep 9.

that's just you. i never assumed that, and recall it mentioned that it was only a minor attempt at a quick fix and the main effort was scheduled for this weekend... as just reiterated.

Yes there was a quick piece of maintenance, but not the total fix. As my other post mentioned the works would likely occur over the weekend. The reason for this is that when you turn on a new firewall and turn another off, there is a chance that for whatever reason some things will not get through or get out. You wouldnt want to do that in the middle of the trading week and then suddenly find out the price feed couldn't get through or something like that!

This weekend there will be some periods where connections will be interrupted, but obviously it will have no impact on trading given the time of the week.

theere was 2 maintenance one on Sep 6 fix (unplanned ) other one on sep 7 (planned) my friend , check your mt4 mailbox

fair enough , as firewall tech i know , i wouldn't touch firewall unless 30 min window given even i am confident it will take only 5 mins

it would be nice , if you could send confirmation note after maintenance

Have anyone noticed that you cannot change the size lot when you modify orders now? (closing partial trades)

Isn't it GO MT4 followed the NY time to close the day candle?

If so why GO closes 1 hour faster on Friday?
And 1 hour late to open on Monday?

Any comment?

i dont think so. yes there is DLS once a year. but this "1 hour" on fri/mon is every week affair.

I'm using 12 H charts right now so not really sure when data stops on a Friday but my Candle Clock says there is 1 hour left to go, but I do know I sometimes watch the first data on a Monday and that is 8 AM AEST, or 6 PM New York (EDT) which seems to be an hour late.

I'm sure that the 5 equal daily candles were meant to 5 PM New York Sunday to 5 PM New York Friday; perhaps GO Markets can explain later in the week, got me curious now too

Chris didn't even reply to my previous post. Each week it's next week we will get MT5... Until now they struggle to fix MT4 server glitches!

I could care less about MT5 until the servers are working properly. MT5 will be neat in its own way but if the servers are still crap, then who cares of GO has MT5 or not?
