Sure seems i need to explain...GBPJPY i bought at 133.20 long at 10c a pip right? the price is at 13329 so plus 9 pips right? so that should be plus 90c right ? but the platform is saying plus $91.00 ...

Ah, sorry, I was just looking at your chart thinking there was a problem there.

I would guess that your platform is not showing you the profit in your deposit currency, but in the term currency. If you right click on the trades, and then in the menu that pops up, choose profit>as deposit currency and it should show you what you expect to see.

If that doesnt do the trick, PM me your account number or give us a call and we can take a look.

Hi, Chris:

May I offer a suggestion regarding withdrawals?

I understand that at present, withdrawals can only be made thru wire transfer to one's bank account.

Would it be possible for those who deposited thru Paypal or credit cards to allow withdrawals using the same method if that's their preference?

I hope this option can be considered and eventually implemented.

i think paypal has universally stopped accepting payments for any type of forex broker. for deposits, not sure about withdrawals. Maybe chris can ccomment.

Hi. I know for a fact that you can fund your forex account using Paypal ( for example, with Oanda and GoMarkets).

With Oanda, though, you have to withdraw your money using Paypal if you used it to deposit to your account; while with GoMarkets, you have to do it by bank wire (no other option except this).

Hi,

We are always keen to improve funding and withdrawal methods for clients and I know a while ago we looked into the issues with processing withdrawals by PayPal and credit card. At the time we encountered problems for a number of reasons. We have only just again begun a review of these potential withdrawal methods to see if it is possible. Hopefully we will be able to make that the case and I will let you all know in the next week or so hopefully.

We normally open accounts the same day as we receive the application and all the necessary supporting docs. Have you applied for an account and not heard anything? If so, PM or email me your details so I can check on the process.

I'm talking about now and in the near future. According to another broker, paypal has recently decided to stop processing deposits for any forex broker. It is unclear if they will continue working with forex brokers who already have an existing business relationship. Also unclear is if they will continue to do other instruments, such as futures and stocks. Maybe he just made up the information. I just wanted GoM to comment on whether or not paypal has said anything to them and/or whether paypal will still be a deposit option moving forward.

Hi, will my GoM MT4 change with the daylight savings change?

Specific question:

I usually trade the LON Session on a time range based on 940-1100 (GoM MT4 time) SO will I need to change my isessions indicator to 1040-1200 to capture the same volatility I used to see @ 0940-1100?

Then in a few weeks when GBP starts daylight savings time, will I need to go back to my original settings of 940-11?

I noticed on the FF calendar that from 12 Mar (US Daylight Savnigs start) to 26 Mar (GBP Daylight savings start) that all GBP news releases (Major/opening) are now at 0430 my time vs the 0330 time they have been all year.

Then after 26 Mar, they go back to 0330 my time.

Whats the deal?

I just applied online to GoMarkets. Now I need to certify/notarize the documents for new account. Will you accept scanned and certified B-W copy documents (driving license, national identity card, utility bill) instead of the colour one ?

Do you have any pre-format/sample for the certified form of documents? I haven't done this before since my previous brokers didn't ask for certified/notarized documents. Is it because of the ASIC regulation, right ?

I am sure Go Markets are above this sort of rubbish but can you please just confirm that GO Markets do not engage in any of the tactics outlined in the pdf on the last page of this thread.

Also i've had some brokers that have given me messages like [started/gap] in the trade comments whan I've been gapped into a trade, does this mean that those brokers would be using the dealer plugin? as i've never seen the same message when trading with GO.

Hi Murray,

I just loaded up the PDF that you sent a link to to have a look and noticed it is a plugin. We have no interest in interfering with client's trades as we are STP and pass all trades on. I couldnt say what messages a plugin with other brokers would give, and I am not sure what that message means (although at a guess it is probably if the order was filled when there is a gap in the market). One thing I would say is that attachment is five years old, so I would probably guess it is not very accurate any more, or if it was to begin with. There have been a lot of changes to the retail FX market over the last few years, much of it improving conditions for the trader including better execution, better spreads and more STP brokers.

The short answer is that we earn a fixed amount per lot traded, so whether you make or lose, it does not impact on us and therefore we don't need to manipulate trades through real or virtual dealers.

Hi,

We request colour copies because they are normally clearer so that would be best for us. If you have black and white copies that are crystal clear, then send them through and our back office team will try and process them.

We do not have a set format for the certified docs as it varies significantly for each country. If you want to PM me with your email and location, I will let you know what we will need.

Many brokers have not needed certified docs, but as we are in Australia we have to comply with the AUSTRAC Anti Money Laundering regulations which require us to follow a strict process.

Hi,

Our platform is not set to follow daylight savings, so everything will stay the same at our end. However, of course the signals you receive will likely be coming through at a different server time because for example in Melbourne we are currently 9 hours ahead of the platform, but once the clocks change here we will be only 8 hours ahead.

What a week to open an account. After 4 years of trialling different companies and different EA's this week I opened my first live account with Go Markets.

This morning I lost 50% of my account when the Go Markets spread went to 50 pips (four digit) or 500 pips(eurusd). I have just spoken to Chris who is going to look into it.

So watch this space................

there are sudden crazy spread on all brokers for 1 hour.
but gomarket is even worse at this time, it would triggers many orders for sure.

Hi Guys,

As a couple of you have touched on already, and all of you will have seen the market has been just about as volatile as ever. The movements at around 8:20 this morning across all pairs were extreme to say the least and spreads with us and all brokers went obviously wider than in normal market conditions. Spreads appear to have returned to normal and hopefully we will get some more 'normal' trading conditions for the rest of the day! If you want to get an idea of what spreads were like with many of the major brokers check out FXIntel and have a look for yourself.

We are of course having a look at everything and checking all feeds and the price history to make sure everything is as it should be and the early signs suggest that all price action was correct and accurate.

If anyone wants a bit more insight on the market movements, check out the daily market commentary sent through the MT4 mailbox or give our currency analyst Chris Gore a call and I am sure he will be happy to have a chat.

I have been checking the carnage otherwise known as my computer.

The high of the 23.15 bar 1.39196 but my trade closed at 23.15 at 1.40157.

That's a 961 pip spread. Can anyone beat that?
