Hi people,
I have done some searching of all the threads to find some info on this.
I am looking for the facility of placing an OCO order for a forex pair, at either extreme of expected high or low for the days trading, but I cannot find it easily in Metatrader.
Who has gone down this path and solved the issue? What have I overlooked? Or do I need to incorporate something else into MT4 to enable this function?
I have also emailed Metaquotes.net with nothing helpful in the answer. They just suggested using s/l and t/p without further explanation as to how this would work as a OCO.
Here is her reply: "You can use Stop Loss and Take Profit. Please try to refer to the 'Trading — Order Types' topic of the MetaTrader 4 Client Terminal integrated help files.
You can, also, write your own expert to automated trading. "
When I checked these references in the Help of MT4, I did not find any joy at all. I either overlooked something, or there was nothing there like what I had in mind for a OCO function.
I do not wish to trade opposite pairs to simulate this function. My goal is to have an order in so that if one target is reached first, it cancels the other target also impending in the system.
Thanks in advance for your help.
