Part II: £20,000-£200,000.
Hi, this is a continuation from my previous journal of taking a real account from £2,000 - £20,000 here:
http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=156480
You need a minimum of 1 vouch to post in this thread, this stops the thread being cluttered to a certain extent.
I am now going to take the account balance from £20K to £200k within a period of 12 to 24 months.
My main accounts are with various ECN's, but for this challenge and transparency I am using Oanda.
The account details/deposits/withdrawals/profit and loss/growth etc are updated directly from the Oanda server by the FXBook servers on a daily basis and are available to view at anytime here:
http://www.myfxbook.com/members/DirectTrade
There can be no falsifying of results.
Their website states in the FAQ section:
"Is it possible that someone's trading activity is fake?"
Since Oanda accounts are analyzed by connecting directly to Oanda's servers, Oanda accounts are verified.
This is not a trading system journal, the trades will not be discussed. This account is traded very differently from my main accounts, details of previous and current trades (which I trade using my main accounts) can be found in the following threads:
G/U, G/U, U/J Trading.
Cable Update (GBP/USD)
So, you are not going to post actual trades everyday in this trading journal? Why not?
I will only post a daily Profit/Loss statement each day in this thread and I wish to keep a journal of my thoughts as the account progresses, how I increase and decrease risk exposure depending on the equity curve performance. I will also discuss my trading psychology, how I am affected by bad market conditions, the highs and lows, warts and all.
I wish to look back on this thread in a year or two and read how I have progressed..or not progressed lol. Although I have been trading for nearly 5 years (now full time trading from home), I still seek to learn from others and myself on a daily basis.
Accounts:
I am using 2 sub accounts, this enables me to utilise both European and New York sessions whilst trading both Long and Short positions in both sessions. I do not hedge.
DirectTrade 1: Starting Balance £10,197.45 on October 19th 2009.
DirectTrade 2: Starting Balance £10,135.78 on October 19th 2009.
