This is a paste from the Malaysia room, thought I'd better post it here as well to hedge all bets...lol
"Yes the room does appear to be very quiet the last few days, where has everyone gone?? This was a powerhouse thread but seems to have lost a lot of momentum lately.
Ok for those still reading, especially Savant (or anyone else who may be able to help). Ive been backtesting the SweetSpot Finder indicator using vhandstrade (good backtest EA, have a look at Skunny's Indicator free trading thread if you dont know it), and find that when you attach the indicator to a chart it shows some beautiful trades with optimum entry and exit points. Initially I was pretty excited about how good it looked, but after running it through vhandstrade, found it repainted, a lot. It appears to use what I call the Splatter Method (ie throw enough c**p at the wall and some of it will stick, in other words show enough arrows and law of averages says some of them will be beautiful trades, obviously keeping only the profitable trades).
Ok here is my dilema, the indicator has some excellent entry points, regardless of repainting, what I want to know is if someone here is able to alter the code to stop it repainting, to essentially show the indicator in all its naked glory and I'll put it through the ringer on vhandstrade. Alternatively, if someone uses the indicator perhaps in conjunction with another filter to rule out these bad trades, then that info would also be greatly appreciated. Any findings I have I will release them here.
Cheers Salamat tinggal"
