BTC is very close to my final target at $60,600. The $61,000 level was rejected three times before. I will see if bears can push it a little further; if I see the market stall here, I'll close out my positions for today.

Mission accomplished—trading plan completed for the day. Even though BTC looks to have enough strength to push lower, I'm sticking strictly to my plan. Done for today!

Not to worry Nospace022. We live to fight another day.
Price did go up as you thought - where you were on an opposite direction.
I was talking about this earlier in my comments in a way bulls and bears could have made something today.
Only that the real trend is down though

I left quite a bit on the table when I closed my last short trade. Painful but I an buoyed by the recovery from near 800points drawdoown from a trade I entered yesterday. This trade went on to a nice profit.
I have put on a short again.
Not full size and not full stop size as this wave3ish move is still going strong
60.8k has gone. Price could make it to the lower line 59.11k overnight'
If this is the EW move I think it is then that low itself will go.
Now I have seen many EW interpretations of the move down from the 82k area and some are clearly fantastic to say the least.
The most conservative is that price is in a 5 wave move down and this strong move is the 3rd wave of that sequence.
Without boring you to stupor we are seeing a 1-2-3-4-5 of a final 5th wave.
It is also possible that the 3 is extending into subwaves as well i.e. 1-2-(12345)-4-5
I did put this idea up about a week ago. Please not the EW chart is pictorial only

59.1k low touched. Not surprised to see a bounce off the area.
This could be the start of the wave 4. A kind of 23.6% or 32.8% of the move down could happen before a fall to new lows.

I’ve been looking into this over the past few days, and I do find that the current move aligns very well with Elliott Wave theory—it’s a great starting point to be able to observe it firsthand directly on the chart!

Yes MaGiix. It appears to align to it these days
I use EW in its simplistic form (rudimentary). I look to characterise any chart into a 12345 - ABC pattern
If a chart can clearly be classified then I'm game and I will trade with it and other price patterns.
My best pattern is the expanding triangle. I don't think twice before trading that pattern.
As per EW, count me out when we start to get to WXY and expanded flat patterns.

Got another idea for you.
My thoughts are that today's low should be taken out before we take out the origin of the 3rd wave i.e. 59110 before 63157
I think the bounce off the low is a small 4th wave rally.
I wouldn't want to see price price much higher than here because wave 4 usually does a 38.2% retracement of the wave 3.
EDIT:
If price goes any higher that the 50% retracement the idea is off. But I will watch the NAS100 and Bitcoin to make up my mind whether to trade the idea or not

yes, absolutely the simplest ya better.
I'm going to learn what it is expanding triangle.
For me, starting out, the tricky part is remembering the retracement rules and other criteria needed to validate a genuine EW setup.
next book i order is about EW and i think to mark the major rules down of paper.

about the another idea, yes i think im goin to trail my stop as long as possible and let it hit it, actualy risk free.
edit: right after this comment a closed my long at 61014, its a good day, d'ont need to ruin it, tired and head not clear its time to sleep!

yes a good day, It feels really good to get back on track; I’ve just spent two or three weeks completely swamped. I’ll gradually increase the risk level as I get into a good groove with my work.
