I know that break triggered a lot of stop losses and even more buy orders for bulls looking for a reason thinking a breakout was imminent. Go read comments on X for proof.

If this was indeed a fakeout, I expect a nasty selloff to ensue. Watching the line in this chart and the retracement levels just below the low at 60k as possible area to go long.

Setting target at 62k. I want to out before the congestion. Meanwhile watching for signs im wrong about that. Will need to move down pretty quickly to hit that broken TL at 60k lows

Moving stop closer to 75700, taking some risk off.

Missed my stop, but im getting out with a small profit here. Still think theres risk to downside, but might make another run to the highs. Might also be another time i get chicken out at last second before it goes my way, but I can always get back in.

On sidelines for now. So far that first TL has held, but not sure for how long

There are a lot of lines matching up around 78500 - 79500, also a high to break or come very close to breaking around there too. Doesnt guarantee itll turn there, but it might and im suspicious of this move up. 2 gaps below and bunch of trendlines as I mentioned already hinting at explosive move down at some point.

Open gap at 84k. Does seem like a full fledged breakout if it makes it to 78-80k, but I'd be careful expecting too much yet.

Spent most of day just watching, and went long a few hours ago at 74900...about where we are right now. Market was moving fast and didnt feel like posting on here. Stop is at 73400.

Starting to think we might be about to REALLY break out, gaps below be damned. If thats the case bitcoin could really make a big run. Target is open for now.

Reason im thinking it might not come back down, well theres a few reasons actually, but here's a couple.

Sellers just look exhausted, and momentum has shifted to buying. On the chart, we're testing that first green line that contained price before, but i dont see it holding it again. The next green line is kind of the same trick, and theres a broken TL there too, but the structure looks strong right now, and I can see it maybe having a reaction there, but blowing through it after. And there might not even be a reaction there.

That gap at 84k is a magnet, and the high at 98k is another. If the bear market is over, we're probably heading to 150k and beyond, so indont want to get too cute and miss the ride. Riding a big move to 150k while adding size along the way is how you hit a grand slam, but ive also had plenty of times where I went for the grand slam and missed out on a nice double (to use the baseball analogy), so just gotta take it as it comes and constantly evaluate to spot for opportunities to take profits and re-enter at a better price.

Bitcoin keeps extending to the top.
The foray into 76k which led to a quick selloff has now been surpassed again.
I was bearish against 76k and I profited some from the failed attempt to settle above that level.
I was thinking the journey to 60k would materialise then but it didn't.
Now I am giving some room for price to do its work and become clearer. A break above 80k ruins my downside idea.
Bitcoin's direct correlation to the stock market and inverse correlation to crude oil means we are trading the stock market by proxy
Very tricky indeed for me

Might be time to switch sides brotha. This looks very bullish to me. We're starting to see big green candles on smaller timeframes.

You are right. I left my desk for 30 minutes and 76k has been sliced through like knife through butter
The stock market is roaring upwards even in new high territory without any appreciable retracements. Amazing price action
If the Artemis guys were not back I would have said price and the astronaughts want to have a reunion near the moon

Definitely not too late to reverse. Its still just breaking out. Long term this will look like the beginning. No telling how high this can run

Wow. 78.7k is possible.
Price move is stunning.
RSI is not overbought yet as well.
Stock marker is recovering from a bit of funk (all in uncharted territory).
What can go wrong now?

  1. The man himself - the same news that caused the rally can destroy it
  2. Going into the weekend - I am not holding anything going into this weekend
  3. Unwinding the parabolic stock market move - remember it happened to gold recently

Beautiful thing about bitcoin is we can trade it 24/7...no getting locked out and at risk of a gap.

Bears were relentless these last several months, but they are out of bitcoin to sell it seems. There's only so much bitcoin to sell with long term holders never selling. That range we've been in is done I think

All good in my opinion. Don't know about you, but I'm not trading with hundreds of millions of dollars, so still plenty of liquidity for me if I want to get out. Could be a big move UP over the weekend

Finally, a bit of weakness is showing up in price.
No surprising though as we are nearing the end of play for the American stock market session (not for bitcoin though)
Profit taking. If you had all that run up as profits wouldn't you pocket some? reduce size going into the weekend?
Bitcoin has been closely correlated to the SP500 and in many ways other than volatility magnitude bitcoin traders have been trading the stock market.
Look at the 2 charts.
By the way, if you were wondering the red box is yesterday' price action - high to low box extended to the right.
